We had a good day out yesterday, despite the really cold wind. The sun came out in the afternoon as we were about to leave! Lots of goodies on display, but we resisted most of them. I did have to buy some gloves (from a £1 bargain bin) as my hands were so cold.
We looked round lots of vans, but nothing seemed to suit our needs better than our current van, not even the new Dimension. We weren't looking with a view to changing, but new ideas are often coming along.
Lots of folding bikes for sale, so hope that Tim and Kris find something to suit them.
The Double Skillet lady was still waxing lyrical about her product.

Hi Wendy
Glad you had a good day and isn't it nice to know that you cannot improve on what you have already got. I hope you told the double skillet lady about your cakes!

Hi Wendy,
We got to the show at 10 this morning. Was quite busy and the sun was out although the wind was cutting across the site!
We found the stall for AS Bikes and unfortunately they didn't have the model of bike we actually wanted. So we wandered off and had a look at all the others - not one of them really took our fancy so we ended up back at AS Bikes and tried out the Explorer plus model. Both liked it and decided to buy a pair, plus carry bags - the plastic took a hammering.....
We also bought some of the foam tiles that lock together to make an awning floor mat. Will see how well they last in use but for £30 for a pack of 12 with carry bag we decided it was worth a go and should be enough for our awning.
As for the rest of the show we were a bit disappointed, if we had been buying a new or used van it would have been great as there were so many to look at (I fell in love with the Wingamm based on a VW T5, silver with a drop down overcab bed and a washroom bigger than mine at home, mind you it was £45000!!!) We were on the look out for gadgets and stuff but I didn't get the Gaslow bits I wanted as they were far more expensive than they are online.
Glad to see you had a good day, and like you we decided that we had the van we wanted.
Tim

Glad that you found some bikes that you liked. I'm sure that the 'plastic' will soon recover.
We saw the awning tiles and thought that they looked good, but not much use to us as we don't have an awning.
Have fun riding those new bikes.
