I ordered two Sunncamp sleeping bags and liners, when they arrived they had sent two left hand bags and the liners to follow. They told me to keep both of the bags and they would send a right hander plus the two liners I had ordered.
New bag duly arrived and one liner, but the liner was for a mummy style bag - Phoned them again and they apologised and said to keep the liner and they would send the two correct ones as soon as they are in stock!
I am looking at the mummy liner and trying to see if I can adapt it as a spare, gussets and inserts come to mind!!!
I can't complain as the shop staff were very courteous and I think fair, but I don't think they made much profit out of me this time!!!

Viv, why dont you just buy a fleece blanket about £5 and make it up yourself? Lidl's Dunelm and Aldi all do the blankets.

Hi Joan these fleece blankets are a jersey material and at £7 each it was not worth making but I have now ordered the two cotton ones but I have a look at Lidl and Dunelm and have a go if Terry needs a proper fleece one.
How are you?

They will keep him warm, I find mine very useful. mine has a zip down the long edge and across the bottom, so if you need to keep your feet out or keep it loose you can do. and they are warm enough to use by themselves, but they do come into there own between hours of 3am and 7am especially if it is a little damp with dew etc.

thanks Derek I haVE put a note in my diary as I would forget by then. I have received my cotton Coleman ones and they are OK but just an oblong cotton sewn together, could have made them for half the price.. I have to undo the side seam or we wil never get out of them and I am adding a bit to the top of them so the pillow area is covered as well.
You know what they say 'if you want something done properly do it yourself'!!!!

when they arrived they had sent two left hand bags Hi all, What is the differance between a left hand and a right hand bag? Is it like a left handed hammer? Martin

Hi MARTIN Actually it only matters if you get one with a rounded top as it cannot be turned over and the opening would be next to the side of the van for one of them, if that makes sense.
Mind you there are so many zips that I have no idea how to turn it into a double bag, which might be warmer in winter.

the bags I have bought have a round top/hood and the top/hood bit has drawstrings to make it even more draught proof if it really turns cold. The zips have baffles all along them as well and there are draught excluder type strips across the opening. We should be really warm now, but hopefully the heating will work in case it is cold.
I just can't believe they can make these bags so cheaply, they are so fiddly and loads of sewing. From my experience of dressmaking the zips alone must have cost a fortune. I think they are good value at £16 each.
