Hi Pauline Terry and I are up for the meal out. Have had a look at the menu and just can't think about it at the moment - in fact am off to bed in a minute or 60 seconds. Will have a look in next day or two, but please book for the two of us for Saturday evening, have eaten here before a couple of times and it was good both times. thanks for organising this. Viv Can't take the credit Viv - John has so kindly sorted this out - you obviously needed your bed when you wrote it ;D John - You can count Graham and I in - will discuss the menu with Graham and PM you later.

The menu arrived this morning from the Three Magpies - it is basically the same as the one on the website, but I've scanned it so that you can have a look. To those who have already decided, you can still change your minds if you see anything different that you fancy. It is 5 pages long. Please can you let us know your choices by Wednesday (21st) at the latest, so that we can inform the pub on Thursday. We will then be away from home until we meet up with you all in Devizes. Wendy & John PS Just noticed that some of the prices have changed, upwards of course!

Hi Wendy,
Sorry for the delay.....too much choice is not a good thing!!!!!
Kris will have the Breaded Scampi (not the Lite Bite section) and I'll have the Stilton and Vegetable crumble (please can you let the pub know that I am nut allergic so no nuts/nut oils in it)
Thanks for organising the meal, see you in a couple of weeks.
Tim

And me too please John Thanks Martin PS only one please - no other half Perhaps we could have a doggy bag for Niqk if there are any left overs Thanks for the thought Pauline, he will eat anything. In fact when I first got him 14 years ago he tried to eat my house and it contents, then the flowers in the garden for afters, then he used my washing on the line as a napkin. He learned very quickly what he should and shouldn't do and is now OK and I can take him anywhere and back again. He is an odd shape and doesn't walk like a dog should, but I love him to bits and he really thinks the sun shines out of my proverbial. I have been getting the van ready for the off and he knows it, he cant wait to get in there, and when we do go he will stand looking where we are going ALL the way, wherever we go. Sorry I have rambled on a bit, Thanks again Martin

Sorry I have rambled on a bit, Ramble all you like Martin. I can't wait to meet him! Let's hope the weather improves, it's as black as night here with horizontal hail and snow! Thankfully I've just got back from the 2 mile circular walk to town, it was lovely sunshine when I left!

No snow here Pauline, but with nothing to stop it, the wind blows straight across the Fens and takes all the heat with it. I am ready to go and as soon as the weather improves I will be on the phone to Devizes and be off. See you all there Martin PS. Pauline, the grassy bar is a good idea, but I cant find it, what page is it on? Edit to an edit - sorry, as soon as I got back after posting I saw it, I was looking for a "gif" of a piece of grass, didnt know you ment grass colour

Edit to an edit - sorry, as soon as I got back after posting I saw it, I was looking for a "gif" of a piece of grass, didnt know you ment grass colour It perhaps depends on which 'skin' (or background) you are using, I've got the raindrops one so it showed up quite well. If you have the 'default' skin then it's the same colour. ** For those of you now asking "what on earth is the 'skin'" - if you go to your profile/modify profile you can select from a variety of backgrounds by choosing which 'skin' you want.

The food order is in The timing is arrive 6.30pm and eat about 7.00pm - we hope that suits everyone. We will be away from Friday and so, please, direct any questions to Pauline. We will be walking on the Southwest Coast path, getting fit to keep up with Yamaha, who, I believe, has been in serious training since Christmas! Safe travelling everyone and look forward to seeing you all in Devizes.

Hope you all have a brilliant weekend, unfortunately it is unlikely now that we will be able to call over to visit on Sat. We have just be told that Jim has to into hospital for day surgery, on his shoulder, on Fri 30th so he will still be recovering. Our daughter's baby eventually arrived on Friday 16th March, a little girl, named Niamh Molly, we are absolutely delighted. First 'proper'grandaughter for me, as I already have 5 step-grandchildren, aged 22yrs to 9yrs-bit of a complicated family!!

Have to get the van washed and spruced after the Saharan dust has covered it all. We can see the roof from the landing window and it is absolutely filthy. Did anyone else get a covering of the dust??
