I have just unpacked my Movelite awning and am panicking a bit because the instructions mention the XL and I am not sure now if they have sent me the correct one.
I cannot set it up as it is raining loads so can anyone advise how I can tell or if the instructions are common to both.

I have just had an immediate response from UKCS and they assure me that I have the correct one. So question answered. Second question for Movelite owners, when you set it up do the metal pins just fit in to the bottom of each pole without anything else as trying them without the awning 'set up' they just seem very loose. Is it the pull on the fabric that keeps them in so to speak?? AND what are the 4 metal pegs with the rings on for?? (these are loose in the bag with standard pegs) AND will we need the heavy metal poles? Well they do say there is no such thing as a stupid question but maybe this is the one!!!!

Hi Viv, Hopefully I can help but not so good at explaining things. The metal pins that go into each pole should be attached to the awning at each corner with a ring already. Are yours? When the pin goes in it is the metal ring that sits flat on the ground. When you have all four corners in this is what holds it in shape then you just peg it all in. Thats the hard work part! If you have got the rings with pins already attached the other ones you have in the bag must be spares but we didn't have any in ours. The heavy poles are if you want to have one of the unzipped sides as a canopy which we do use if the weather is nice. Last weekend we went away and the sun was shining so it was nice to have it opened up and if you want a bit of shade you can sit under it. Hope this makes sense Viv. If not ask away again and I will try to explain it better for you. Just a thought Viv, if you don't want to use the canopy take the poles out of the bag as it makes it lighter. Also if you do use it you will need to make a guy rope up for each one just to steady them.

Moya that was so helpful. Our awning has the rings with the metal pin as you describe on each corner of the awning so fine there, I am assuming that the 4 slightly different pegs in the bag are for banging in to the the corner rings to secure them to the ground.
Anyway I am sure that the other people on the campsite will be able to have a laugh at us as we attempt to set it up.
I will leave the metal rods at home as I have bought myself a lovely sunshade that fits to my chair and tilts to suit - won't I look posh - hope we get some sunshine!!!!!
Thanks Moya for your reply. Viv

Viv,
I think the other pegs which have a different top to the norm, are for the groundsheet, and remember that the ground sheet is colour coded to match the bedroom pod if you ever use it. and you also have to tighten the straps at the base (I think the movelite has them, otherwise I am confusing with my day tent)
Also I think there is guy ropes in the bag for the door when use in the upright position ie awning roof/sunshade.
