Please can somebody explain the system for raising the roof with compression nothing seems to happen when I turn the switch to 'on' am I doing something wrong or is it just not working??

Hi Chis. You need at least 80 psi in you pressure tank to start. Some early 89 models had a saftey switch on the rear door, you had to shut the door to get the rams to work, others had a push button switch near the roof switch that had to be held in while try to raise or lower the roof. Once up its a good idea to polish the exposed area as this will both ease the opperation and reduce the risk of the roof jamming. If the roof does jam don't try to pull it down you need to push it up about 6 inches then let it fall down. Don't forget to release the seat belt fitting at the front of the roof before attempting anything! Ant
