Hi all the name's Pete I've had the Dimension about 2 yrs, prior too that I had a Duo for 4yrs, decided too make life easier after 20yrs. of tenting. I found the Duo was a nice van but it got too the stage of having too take a midnight stroll now & again even though we had a porta-potti it wasn't all that convenient, so upgraded too the Dimension which is a lot better, it took quite a bit of getting used too I found that on braking my foot still seemed to overlap the gas pedal so quite a few revs. still showed also even though I'm tall I find that I don't always release the hand brake fully yet the XYL has no trouble at all I did buy the extender but she couldn't release it so we just have to put up with it.
I have found a couple of annoying faults that closing the rear doors are rather awkward but notice on the newer version the toilet is on the nearside which would make it easier too reach the door handle.
We use the beds as singles & I found that the way I sleep which is on the Nr.side I tend too lean on the sliding door. & last year on the Isle of Man there was quite a cold wind for a couple of nights & it blew straight in the fridge vents & along the back of the cooker made quite a draft but I invested in a good mummy style bag which has made quite a difference.
Now after all that rambling I'd like a bit of tech advice I think the roller blind in the windscreen is giving trouble last year it wouldn't rewind & had to be fed in by hand I contacted Freeborn service Dept at Soton. who said that no spes are available & a new blind is £300+ I think I may have retensioned the sping but want too be prepaired for the worst.
Hope this hasn't been too boring.
Pete
