:)Well after much thought we took the plunge and bought a Caranex Awning, a bit expensive but worth it. totally superb, comes with a stand alone kit which works a treat consists of 2 extra poles and a cover for the opening left when you drive away but I must admit the instructions for erecting had us confused as at our first attempt we did not know what was the top or that was the bottom they say your target time is 8 min. our first attempt was closer to 80 min. second about 15, third about 10 only thing we needed was rock pegs (bought 24 on e-bay) as the little ones supplied are rubbish, end result very pleased and when erected no gaps around van and even during a thunderstorm no water inside at all.

Sounds good, its nice to have somewhere to put all your bits and bobs when you're on site, also great for keeping your pitch.
How did you manage backing on to it? When we had our Duo it took us 2 or 3 goes to get it lined up properly after that we would back straight up to it and it would be a perfect fit.
Practice makes perfect as they say.

place a tent peg in line from the drivers door, before driving away this gives a good marker when reversing back into place. Works for me anyway.
