Hi Folks I have been busy packing for my trip to Bodmin and I wondered if anyone has thought of buying those plastic chests of drawers for use in the romahome I bought one from Wilkinsons ages ago and it is a perfect fit between the two benches - makes a good bedside table for the book and glass of wine. I have been using them in my tent for a few years I pack my clothes in them instead of using bags and you can stack them to any height you want I am going to have one 5 drawers high in the camper makes very useful extra storage -easier to keep tidy too.

Great idea, may give it a go, but at the mo the heater sits there and the dog lays in the middle of the seats when travelling resting his chops on it... with a waterproof cover over it. but definately worth looking into... Out curiosity where do you store your tinned stuff, I tried putting them under the sink, but could not see the labels properly and too idle to bend and have a good rumage to see what we have. Tried in a box under where the fridge should go, but need that room really for other stuff, though about making a tray with long handles for lifting it out from under the seats with two tiers to it... or any other ideas ..... keep clothes over the luton in boxes, and towels, mmmmm thinking back to the plastic drawers now, at least dog hairs would not get in them... sorry thinking aloud.....

Gee Someone is talking to me! - wondered if I had upset someone. The drawers take up around one square foot, hardly a tails leanths.e and they are a perfec fitt between the two benches they are wedged in so they don't move . I have only been camping one weekend so far so not sure where I am going to store things - maybee in the bottom drawer because of the wheight. I will let you know when I come back from Bodmin - If I go it is a long way - but I am off work 18 days.

But if you store things in the drawers that you normally store elsewhare then you have elsewhere to store your tins. But back to your dag-hairs I also like the drawers because I know they are 'clean' for foodstuffs.

food storage in offside locker next to fridge, porta potti in the next one behind the drivers seat, if no loo, then electric pans, walking boots and toilet stuff and booze. Nearside behind passenger, elec. items torches, solar lights, etc and later dirty clothing nearside next to sink, bed supports, levellers, dustpan and brush, black bags etc usual odd and ends, pegs and line. and pans. Pelmets, use and file in order, luton, table, chairs, towels, hotplate, toiltery bag etc, and you are able to fit a box for your clothes as well, sleeping bags or duvets and pillows, blankets, books, and across the luton to hide things, use an expanding rail which fits either side in u shaped holders, and make a curtain with pockets for all sorts of things, I use the boxes out the drawers inside my cupboard under the sink with food ie bread and veg etc. all depends on the length of stay'
Also use over the door metal hangers with about 5 hooks, for hanging cups and bits, and great for drying undies or towels. think out of the box, be inventive, and have more than one use for things.
Romahoming is just great!!!
