Hi, Im new to the forum my romahome v demountable body has had a slight bump on the drivers side rear.I was wondering- maybe with the age of the demountables other romahome owners had the same missfortune. I was thinking of taking a mould from my pod and fibreglassing a new shell so I can transfare the internals ot the old pod to the new one. Is any one else interested in a new shell cheers

Hi Paul
Welcome to the forum, what you are undertaking sounds a tricky business but good luck anyway. We have a Dimension but there are lots of folk with demountables on here to exchange ideas with.

Hi Paul and welcome! ;D
That sounds like a lot of work for a small bump! Why not just fix the bump/dent with fibreglass and respray?
My demountable is as old as the hills... one more bump wouldn't look out of place as the previous owners seemingly didn't have a clue! I reversed into a dry stone wall in the Lakes not long ago.. there were already several bumps along the bottom of the rear which needed attention, so one more didn't make a lot of difference. I fixed the lot when I got home and repainted. Not a perfect job, but the 'van will never be perfect anyway!
