Thanks from both of us too Dave. Meet was great and really brilliant to see so many people there too. At this rate we'll have to start booking whole sites and not just rally fields.....lol We had a really good trip back, very little crosswind and the van towed like a star, almost forgot I had it behind me most of the time!!! We had virtually no hold ups either and made it home in just under 3.5 hours. Hope everyone who stayed on has made the most of the lovely weather we left behind, Pauline always promises to bring it with her and we leave it behind for others Was nice to put some faces to names too, and meet all the new members we now have in the group too. For Dave and everyone who was involved in the discussion about LED lights for our vans the site is www.ultraleds.co.uk. When you go onto the site you'll see pictures of the bulb you want to replace so you don't even need to know numbers etc. I used the flat G4 replacements in Ruby, but check the sizes as the ones I bought have been superseded although I think the 23mm diameter ones should be fine. See you all soon Tim & Kris

Hi all, Firstly, thanks everyone for such a great weekend, It was a real pleasure meeting you all and I do have to say sorry for the guitar ( I WILL take lesson's honest ;D ). I hope everyone had a safe trip home, and to those staying a few days, enjoy the great weather. I talked to Paul on the way out, and we can have the rally field at this site again for a meet on 11th, 12th, 13th September, I have tentatively booked this. I will start a new thread and a poll ( Oh yes... a poll....how I have missed poll's ;D ;D) to see who would like to attend or if anyone has a better idea, we might have to organize the local pub this time and go up for a Sat night meal. The cost will be the same as this last meet. Lyn, I have checked out the festival site, thanks for that, I will be booking my tickets and will most definitely be seeing you there, I hope that Jayjay can make it as well. Thanks for the site info about the bulbs Tim, I am going to go on a spending fit I can tell Also a chance to watch the kiwi thief in action!! They didn't even miss the lights !!!!! We will make sure that anything we want to hold onto is fitted in a block of cement !!!! Barbara, I am getting jacks and stays, as I am thinking I might have to work my way up to wheels and trims, followed by a ladder so I can get the TV Aeriel ( although Martins Sat dish is starting to look good, where did he say he was staying ) but If you are thinking cement, I will remember to bring a jack hammer!! Thanks again all, It has been a great weekend, and I am already looking forward to the next. Cheers Dave

Hi Everybody We would like to add our thanks to Dave for organising a really great weekend and what an interesting group we turned out to be! I know we didn't meet everybody, but that was because all the time was filled with chats to everybody else, and walking the dog several times with the others. We also came back with several bottles of bubbly because you were all drinking by the time we got to the club room. And special thanks to Jay Jay and Dave for the entertainment.
Hope to see you all again in September

Hi all
Pauline and I just wanted to add our thanks to Dave for organising such a lovely meet, we loved the jamming session that Dave and JayJay provided for Saturday night.
It was great to see everyone there and meet some new friends as well as renewing acquaintances from previous meets. What a great set of lovely friendly people we have got on here.
We had a lovely 5 mile walk on Sunday when most folk had gone and thanks to the loan of Glen's map we only got lost once! ;D But we'd have never been able to do it without the map, thanks Glen and Claire for the loan, we will post it back to you.
We got back today after a good journey with no hold ups, when we left there was only 2 units Roger and Ellie left they were both stopping another night before heading off for further adventures in their respective vans.
I think we should be OK for the September meet, lets hope we can get a few more coming and fill that field.
Graham and Pauline

Hi Jenny, It was a great meet and I am really looking forward to the next, I have posted the recipe for the Alberts Square for you, and will post the Ginger Choc Crunch as soon as I get to type it from the book. Cheers Dave ALBERT SQUARE England may have the famous Albert Square known to all Coro fans, but New Zealand also has its own which has been around just as long. The New Zealand Albert Square is a very delicious cake with a vanilla and coconut icing and comes from the Edmonds Cook book. The Edmonds cook book needs no introduction to anyone from NZ, given its proud 90–year history of popularity and success. But it is interesting, all these years later, to reflect on the humble origins which have led to it becoming a household name in this country. It all started in Lyttelton, last century, when 20–year–old Thomas J. Edmonds developed his own baking powder in response to the need of dissatisfied customers who came into his grocery store complaining about the unreliability of the baking powder then available. In 1879 he sold his first batch of 200 tins, telling his customers that their baking was 'sure to rise', and before long the housewives of Canterbury were clamouring for more of the tins bearing his distinctive rising sun with cakes trademark. The rest of New Zealand soon followed suit and in 1907 the first edition of the Edmonds Cookery Book, with its 50 pages of 'economical everyday recipes and cooking hints', made its appearance. Every couple who announced their engagement looked forward to receiving their free copy – a practice which lasted for some years. Sales of the baking powder continued to rise in spite of competition from some fierce contenders for the business and, by 1915, sales were equivalent to six and a half tins for every family in the country. Seven years later Thomas Edmonds opened his factory, which was to become a Christchurch landmark for nearly 70 years. During the Depression it became the first factory to introduce a 40–hour, five day week and this forward thinking ensured that none of the workers, many of whom had been with the firm for an impressive number of years, had to suffer redundancy. And the city of Christchurch also gained from this remarkable man's generosity when he erected a band rotunda (now a restaurant) and a clock tower to celebrate his firm's 50th anniversary in 1929. This was followed by the creation of a park behind the factory which later became city property. As Edmonds increased its range of products the success of the cookery book grew and more than three million copies have now been sold – making it not only a bestseller among cookbooks but the biggest–selling book ever published in New Zealand. For anyone wanting to try this delicious square the recipe is as follows: Method: Preheat oven to 180C and grease a 20X30cm tin, then line the base with baking paper Cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy Add eggs one at a time beating well after each addition Beat golden syrup and vanilla essence into the mix Fold in the currents Sift flour, Baking powder and salt together and fold sifted ingredients into the cream mix alternatively with the milk Spread into prepared tin and bake for 30 min or until centre springs back when lightly touched When cold, ice and cut into squares To make the icing: Mix Icing sugar, essence and sufficient water to make a spreadable paste Sprinkle with coconut. Enjoy!!

Hi all
We are home again now and had a lovely trip around after our stay at Greenhill. Thanks Dave for organising the weekend and for the lovely singing with jayjay. Wish I could sing.
Bit quiet at home now and want some more nice weather to accompany our next trip.
Unfortunately we can't make 11/12/13th September as I am on a walking holiday in St Ives for the week.
Why do nice things always come together like buses! I can guarantee if I book one thing another will come up at same time. Never mind these rallies are going to run and run and we will look forward to another one at some time, somewhere!
Thanks again for organising it all.

Hi all
Thanks to Dave for organizing a great weekend, and I will be at the next one.
Thanks to Viv for her good advice on the dongle, and as you can see I have taken it.
Thanks to Keith and Gail for sweeping the towpath here at Devizes but perhaps a bigger broom would have been better, the bike is covered in dust now, I will leave it out in the rain today to get it washed.
The satellite dish is working great and is (Dave) ;D staked to the ground with three, three feet long tent pegs.
See you all soon, and thanks again for a good weekend.
Martin

Seems it is going to be almost impossible to arrange dates to suit everyone. Although likely we will miss next one we will certainly look forward to the one after that. My holiday is Sat 12 to Sat 19 so will lose both weekends. Just hope the weather is kind to all of us wherever we are.
We will just have to make sure we are around for the one after next!

Would be great to catch up and see Jiffy. How are you looking to mount the tow bar, I wouldn't think that the Pod would be strong enough, I wouldn't mind a tow bar on Bilbo so I can bring my bike. Cheers Dave

I am going to get one made that comes down under the pod from the chassis, with a removable tow bar section that can be pulled out when not in use.
Best get it on the road first though!!
Leaf springs paid for, just waiting for them to be made then sent down.
Shane, my girlfriends brother is getting on well with the other one too, sorted all the electrics out so everything works...
