This may have been covered before - apologies if it has (and where is it? ;D)
The question's in the title, really. Anyone have any info/recommendations for a drive-away awning for a Dimension 2. I've got the wind-out awning already - I want something that can be totally enclose when the van isn't there.

Hmmm; thanks Derek; but also no thanks ..! It seemed like a good idea. The plan is, to spend more time away in the van and for me to work from it which, with an internet connection, I can do. So, I thought a decent awning would give the extra room to reorganise things to make this easier. The alternative hardly bears thinking about - a larger van..! (horror). Doug

Derek - fogot to say thanks for the links. Having looked at them, I'm feeling more optimistic again.

Hi Doug, take no notice of my lazy attitude, I have to admit that our Harrison awning is really great when we are settled on site, I would definitely use it if on site for several days, particularly if the weather was bad. Harrison are no longer making awnings but there are still some around in dealers I think. Another make that may be worth a look is Apache, they are made by the same company that makes Cabanon tents. Some of the awnings require a J rail but they often supply a kit to get round a lack of one. First thing to decide is if you want a lightweight or the Dorema / Apache type. Another link www.mendipcaravans.co.uk/awnings/apache/Best of luck in your deliberations ----- Derek
