What did anyone find in their Christmas stockings?
I found a book called "Home away from Home" about campervans.
A Playmobil Motorhome that we had good fun playing with yesterday. The detail is amazing.
And some DVDs and things.

Sounds like you had a very motorhome themed Christmas Jana! Joan, that was a thoughtless present, I'm sure they would be horrified if they had realised, sometimes people just get what they see without thinking too much of the recipient. A friend of ours regularly got after shave and shaving related gifts even though he had had a beard for all his adult life!! We were very lucky and received a variety of gifts including: A year's membership to the Great Bustard Group www.greatbustard.com/ where we can visit the release site on Salisbury Plains (Yes, Yamaha, I did say BUSTARD Group ) An iPod Nano (aren't we lucky?) A book about 'Lost' A bag with a pussy cat face design Pussy cat fridge magnets (in case you didn't know I'm a cat lover Jigsaw that makes into a Christmas tree bauble (where do people find these great ideas?!) Lots of chocolates and alcohol - they know us well - we love chocolates Sounds like I'm on the Generation Game conveyor belt doesn't it? Plus other stuff and the present to ourselves, our mini flatscreen TV for the van.

Lunnie, that must have been awful for you.
Pauline you certainly had a good variety of gifts and the Bustard membership sounds good. We spent Christmas Eve at Martin Mere (currently on Springwatch special tonight) so can appreciate your bird interest.
As we didn't send many cards out we bought "teddybear" online from CLIC/Sargent website instead.

Hi all Glad you all made it through the festivities without too much mishap I hope. We still don't speak Polish and have a fridge full of Polish ham, delicious but no time to eat it as I also cooked a huge gammon and still have loads of turkey. I will freeze the smoked salmon that was left.
My favourite present was from daughter - a ticket for the Cirque du Soleil at the Royal Albert Hall for 14th Jan. Six of us going as her 'inlaws' will come down from Worcester and we will make a whole weekend of it. I can't wait as I have always wanted to go and see this show.
Baby William gave us a piggy bank with his name on it!!!!!!!!
Son gave me a magnet game with really powerful magnets, that says to keep away from pacemakers, computers etc, not sure if it is safe near Terry as he has metal clips in his head and he has been told he can never have an MRI (MAGNETIC) Scan.
We also got a sadistic game that involves quick reflexes and the last one to press a button, at a given point, gets an electric shock, actually quite a laugh as long as you never lose!!!!

Don't fancy that game Viv as I have enough trouble with Tesco trolleys giving me static shocks (or as I say biting me)
You could always get a "Learn yourself Polish" kit usually available on Ebay lol.

Hi Jana Little William's Mum has promised her Dad that she will make sure that William speaks Polish otherwise he will not be able to communicate with Polish Grandpa, Polish Grandma has spent ages learning English, in fact she studies about 4 hours per day and 3 hours per week at school. Her spoken English is actually quite good now but like all learners she does not understand when we speak to her!
On the above basis I really must get myself along to Polish classes.
