We were wandering around Bristol today, and went into a branch of "The Works" that was about to close down.
Bought an AA book called " 500 Walks in France "
It's good, this walking, isn't it?
I've walked miles tonight, all over France - and my legs are really aching with the strain - bet I won't need any rocking!! ;D
A very interesting book - loose leaves in a cardboard book form, and priced at £12.99 - worth a look for all you Francophiles if you have a branch near you.

Our branch of 'The Works' seems to have a closing down sale every other week and then lo and behold they remove the notices and carry on again as if nothing had happened! I suppose they think that it makes people go in and buy - well it worked with Yamaha  Can we now look forward to you, Mike, organising a meet in France to make good use of your new book? Keep up with the walking - it's not really difficult is it, especially from an armchair ;D |

A 5 mile hike by the end of the year should be an attainable target  |
