We went to see the Cirque Du Soleil at the royal Albert Hall yesterday. It as absolutely fantastic. The Albert Hall is huge and we had seats right up high and my fear of heights kicked in immediately but I managed to control it but only because I had to. I was reasonably OK until the trapeze started and it was absolutely spectacular, my palms were sweating and I had a double whammy of fear because we were almost as high as the acrobats and trapeze artists.
Anyway I managed only to have to close my eyes once as I was overwhelmed. The show was breathtaking and one of the best shows I have ever seen.

Glad you had a good time Viv. I am not good with heights either but people don't understand.
I am the one in the middle of the bridge etc and dont get me going about new buildings with glass lifts, glass staircases and walkways. It is just as much a problem for me as stairs are to people in wheelchairs.

Hi Jana this has become such a problem for me that I am going to get some help - someone has suggested hypnotherapy and I will let you know how I get on.
After having to sit in the middle lane of the motorway through Birmingham as it was so high up I felt I had to sort it out if I could- thank goodness it was a traffic jam so I could sit in the middle lane otherwise I would have been most uncomfortable in the slow lane near the edge and that view of the drop!!!!!!!!
I really cannot put up with it any more and it is going to be a pain if I try to get across the alps to S of France.
