Hi everyone, sorry for being pretty absent from the forum for a while. Things have been stressful to say the least. Certain solicitors further down the chain need to go back to school I feel!!
But I have heard today that we have finally exchanged and have a moving date of 29th August - and yes it is this year ;D
I am so relieved that it has finally happened that all the final packing and rushing about is going to seem a real breeze now.
Hope everyone is well and look forward to seeing you all at a meet in the near future.
Tim & Kris

So glad that things finally seem to be falling into place for you. I seem to recall that you had a lot of things packed when we last saw you, so have you had to unpack a lot?
We'll be on a ferry to France on the 29th, so we'll think about you. Hope all goes well.

Hi Wendy, Yes we did have loads of stuff packed, and it's amazing how little you can manage with when you really don't want to unpack it all!! Now the question is do we actually need all the stuff that we have managed without for nearly 2 months Hope you have a great time away and the weather is kind to you, especially the sea if you are ferrying across! Tim

Hi Tim and Kris
Glad all is going well for you.
Is the little pink plant still surviving?
Martin
P.S. The way it was growing at Hayfield I hope it hasn't taken over the house

Martin, The plant is still growing strong and will soon have a new garden to be planted into! Not quite taken over the house yet but getting close.... How did the engine rebuild go Martin, I think I read that you hadm finished it and had a quick test run but not been on a long run yet. Hope it was successful and has helped the oil burning problem. When we move we are going to be without broadband for a couple of weeks while they swap it over, but will get online at my parents and put some pics up as soon as I get a chance It will be great to finally move in. Tim

Hi Tim
Yes I have Completed a top end rebuild by putting a NEW head on, at the moment it seems to be better, I have done about 600 miles so far just pottering about, I think it may need to be run in for a bit more so that everything is bedded in properly. Bottom end is OK I had the pistons out and they and the bores seem in very good condition. Going away 2 September for a few week so that will give it a good test.
Good to here that the plant is doing well, from a few twigs to a small bush with flowers in a few days is good , it must be Kris's green fingers.
The word TRIFFID keeps coming to mind, can understand why.
Hope all goes well with the move.
Martin

Hi Tim and Kris
So glad for you now that you are going to be settled at last. Very stressful moving, we moved a few years ago and packed the whole house up with oddments packed into boxes. We then moved back two years later to the same house and still have not unpacked the boxes and are planning a car boot sale.
