I thought I would share my story with any one else who suffers from sensitive teeth. About 4 or 5 weeks ago I started to suffer when I drank a hot or cold drink I got a sharp pain in my teeth, so went to the dentist and he did x-rays etc and said the tooth was ok with no decay or anything but my gums has receded exposing the delicate nerves and that was the cause of the pain. He put some gel on and said that it should help, which it did for a while but the pain came back so I went back and he did the same, then a couple of weeks ago the pain got really bad and I was awake all night with constant toothache, I phoned the dentist and they couldn't get me in until the following week as he was on holiday. So I was rather desperate, by now I just wanted the tooth out to stop the pain. Anyway I googled "sensitive teeth" and came across a website from the Daily Mail about a new toothpaste that claims to actually rebuild tooth enamel, so I thought right I will give it a go. I have to report it was like magic I have been using it now for a couple of weeks and am having no pain at all (touch wood). Its more expensive than Colgate and the like but well worth it I think I paid around £3.50 for a small tube. If anyone suffers I can highly recommend it, its called "Arm & Hammer's Enamel Care Sensitive". The Daily Mail website about it is HEREGraham

Worth a try and I will give it a go. Soon we will all need larger vans to cope with all the equipment, aids and medication needed as we get older!!!!!
Hope the young ones don't see this post as they will start to wonder just what the future holds for them!!!!

It does sound interesting! I use sensodyne every now and again, just rub it into my gums and that helps, but this stuff sounds like it might cure, rather than just take away the symptons. Think I'll get some as well!
