Hi all, the door on our demountable has started squeaking when we open and close it, its actually more of a creak and not a quite creak at that!! I've tried spraying WD40 in and it results in the oil running out looking rust coloured. I was wondering if there is any way of getting into the hinge to give it a good clean out. I doubt it is rust as it appears to be made of aluminium so I assume its just full of dust, grime etc. I don't want to damage it by forcing the wrong part off. many thanks in advance

Hi Glen. The Aluminium hinge has a steel pin! I get the hinge hot with a heat gun ( blown air) and while its hot squirt some diesel mixed with engine oil into the hinge pin. When the hinge cools down it traps some oil in it. WD40 tends to dry out quite quickly. Ant
