Hi all
Just wondered if anyone can help. We bought a 2007 C3 Desire just before Christmas our previous C3 had two remote control keys and a spare non remote key. This one only had one remote control key so the dealer said he would get another sorted out for me which he did but it isn't remote control its just a manual key.
That is ok for Pauline because she doesn't use the car much so it wouldn't be much bother to lock it manually, the trouble is it doesn't seem to lock the car properly it only locks the driver's door not all the doors. There is only one lock on the car and that is on the driver's door so we can't manually lock all the doors with this key, does anyone know how to do it?
There must be a manual locking system if the remote control fails or am I missing something?
Graham

Thanks Glen I had done a search and also found that information but I can't believe you have to go through that process every time you want to lock the car. Looks like I will have to go back to the garage and demand a remote locking key, I can't see Pauline wanting to do that every time she goes out.
Trouble is I've priced up these remote locking keys myself and they are £150 for the key and the Citroen dealer to programme it, I bet the garage don't want to pay that.
Ho hum, I'll have to see what they say.

it does seem a bit long winded doesn't it. I did find another thread that was suggesting pressing the interior central locking button with the drivers door open. This should lock all the other doors but not the drivers door, which then can be locked using the key.
The problem is I got called away from the pc without finishing the post and I can't find it again to see if it worked or not!!! amybe worth a try for nothing!

Hi Graham
Someone broke the lock on my van and the main deler wanted about £250 to change and reprogramme the lock. A local locksmith did it for £100 including drilling out the lock. Might be worth trying an independent who works with car locks to produce a key.
God luck

I thought you were on to something there it seemed logical but when I tried it the doors locked and immediately unlocked, presumably because I had the drivers door open. Worth a try though.

Yeah sorry Graham, I managed to find the thread again late last night, and it said it didn't work!!!!
