Hi, Jayjay here! Sorry I've not been here much recently, my Mum had a mini-stroke a few weeks ago, panic over now. She's ok at the moment anyway. Am upping and downing to make sure she's ok, can't just 'phone, she won't say if she's not ok, makes out everying is fine. Makes it all hard work. My Dad cannot do a thing for himself, so you can imagine. Been painting a lot as I joined the local art club, learning a lot and improving! (painting uploaded, so you can see!) Merlyn (my doggie) has gone really old, stiff joints and hips going, but still ok, seems better for a bit of sunshine - don't we all! I've bought her a ramp for when we go away in the 'van! Had a bad do with my back, completely self inflicted as I was fool enough to tile my kitchen floor myself, took a week to walk properly again, doh! Photo below! Still awaiting kerb to be dropped.. what a saga! I got the quote reduced from £600 to £500, they agreed they had overcharged on the tarmac at £52 a square metre - still a lot of money, but glad I challenged them on that quote instead of just accepting it - wonder how many ppl do just that? Hope everyone is ok and I'm looking forward to the meet at the beginning of May - can't wait, I'm getting stir crazy! JayJay ;D

Hurrrah JayJay is back. We've missed you. Poor old Merlyn sounds like me, thankfully I don't need a ramp to get into the van yet. ;D The painting and the floor look great, you are a clever girl. Looking forward to seeing you again in May. Graham

Hi Lunnie, the paintings I'm doing at present are for the next exhibition, unless I get an offer I can't refuse LOL!! The Art Club held an exhibition at Rode Hall down the road from here about a month ago and I sold one for £60! So wonderful when it's somebody you don't know who bought it, but they bought it on merit alone, nice to give someone joy! I have a commissioned painting or two to do - from photo's, of my friend's house (or should we call it a mansion) in France - she's now in Australia.. The first attempt went belly up, so I have to start again Hi Graham, thanks for the comments, the painting is slightly out of focus due to my camera shake! The ramp for the dog was very expensive and a bit on the heavy side, but will be worth it I think! Great to hear from you both!

Hi Jay jay, Have you tried a glucosamine, chondrotin, msm and vitamin c, supplement for your dogs stiff joints? A few years ago my partners elderly German shepherd couldn't walk more than a few yards. I put her on this and within weeks could walk a considerable length of time. Prior to this with monthly injections and copious amount of tablets from the vets hadn't helped. Healthy Direct www.healthydirect.com do a formula called Joint aid. Comes in open able capsules, beef flavour, I just sprinkled them on her meal. And they work out at pennies a day. I know how heart breaking it is when dogs get old, Our elderly Basset needs a skate board Hope this helps! Ellie Sunshine1

Hi Jay jay, Great picture! I painted a huge canvas recently for my recently decorated hallway. My partner thought I'd gone out and bought it! Cheek of it! For days he was looking at it and saying you haven't painted that! So good on you girl, keep painting! Sunshine1 Ellie

Hi Sunshine - I keep looking at the painting myself and wondering if I did it!! LOL! Remember to sign yours, then everyone will know! I hate it when someone says, you never did this or that - credit me with some talent, please! When I was young, my grandad would always say that whenever I said anything - 'who did you hear that from? Who told you that?' I was never credited with having my own thoughts, inspirations, talent. Fortunately I didn't take it to heart!LOL Will look into the link - thanks! I gave her (and me) some glucosamine/Chon tablets a few years back, they made us both constipated! LOL! Perhaps with the vit C added, this won't happen so I'll maybe give it a try. Thanks for the link!
