Is anybody going to the new show at the NEC 17-22 October? John and I are hoping to go on Tuesday (17th). We're not thinking of changing our beloved Dimension, but thought that it might be nice to have a look round. I'm sure that we'll find some 'must have' items on some of the stands! ;D

We did think about it but as you say you usually want to buy some 'must have' item that you really 'must not!' Fancy taking along some small motorhome leaflets and 'accidentally' leaving them on some of the stands? ;D

Spoke to Freeborn today and they said that the new Dimension would not be at the NEC. The factory told Freeborn today that they plan to have it ready for Excel (Docklands) on the 16th Nov. I asked what the changes to the model are and was told that the loo/shower door will be sliding and the base vehicle will be a few inches longer. Remember folks you heard it here first And why am I so interested in Dimensions------------don't ask! Derek

And why am I so interested in Dimensions------------don't ask! Derek Don't tell me............Meg's pestering for something bigger so she can take more squeaky toys! Interesting to hear that the bathroom door will be sliding, but how they will do that with the lift up work top in the same place I don't know - even if the van is a few inches longer.

Do you know if Freeborn are going to Excel? I will certainly have a look at the romahomes there. This is the first time the show has been held at Excel and I am looking forward to seeing this venue. Viv

Shame about the new Dimension not going to the NEC as I was hoping to have a look at it. We'll look at yours, Derek, when you get it! Re the sliding washroom door, I can only think that it might slide inside, but there is not much room for that - oh well we'll see some time.

Re the sliding washroom door, I can only think that it might slide inside, but there is not much room for that - oh well we'll see some time. That's exactly what we thought - it's the only way without compromising the fold-up worktop, which is an absolute boon, so it's to be hoped they haven't done away with that! We went to Ex-Cel last year and it was very good - accessible and not very busy as that was the first year there. We'd hoped to see the new Dimension at Birmingham, as we're going as part of a week away. Unfortunately we can't make the meet (or Ex-Cel) as we're off to Spain for a holiday, but not with the van. Shame about the new Dimension not going to the NEC as I was hoping to have a look at it. We'll look at yours, Derek, when you get it! Don't hold your breath Wendy, all bets are off, just saved 15 grand, a Dimension was inspected today but it was decided to stay with the Duo Hylo. The Dimension toilet and kitchen are really great but the van is not as dog friendly as the Duo. Little Meglets has her personal space between the bunks (we don't use the table) The Bongo is out for the same reason, nowhere for Meg to sleep (shame, I fancied a 4WD) Derek

Re the sliding washroom door, I can only think that it might slide inside, but there is not much room for that - oh well we'll see some time. Ours has a step up by the toilet so the door wouldn't be able to slide back into there. More incentive for us to see a new one when we can!!

Shame about that, Derek. As you say, the kitchen and washroom are really great, but your little doggy friend has to have her needs met too. I would have thought that she could have found a little cosy corner in a Dimension, but you know her likes and needs. We look forward to meeting Meg sometime and then I'll have to have a little world in her ear! ;D

Ours has a step up by the toilet so the door wouldn't be able to slide back into there. Ours has a step as well, but as it's part of the moulding could it be altered to allow a sliding door? How about a concertina-type door? Are we making this into a competition? ;D
