I am going absolutelly stark raving mad, I must be the only person who cannot manage to do anything on the computer without having to get the 3 year old lad from next door to help me through it. I am the one who spent several days on the line to BT as I could not get my wifi to work and who eventually discovered that it would help if I turned the little button on. Anyway how how how, simple explanation please, do I get pictures on to posts. I have opened a photobucket album and have followed the instructions to the letter. I have 3 pictures which are now in my album and they are showing exactly as they should be (according to the little help video) I check the little box under the picture. I then click on the other long button (one of 3 onder the image)that they tell you and I get the different codes in 4 or 5 long boxes and copy the one they suggest - I think it is box 3 or 4 . then I paste it into my post and all I get is the writing that I have copied - no picture what am I doing wrong. ?? Please help Viv

This sounds like a case for "Super Pauline", I will just get her to go into a phone box and change into her costume and she will come and help you.

Goodness, I wish he wouldn't make me out to be so clever!!! I hope this will all make sense and if you don't understand it's not your fault it's just my explaination that isn't so hot! This is what I do to show a photobucket album: If you have photos in photobucket but only want to share some of them, then create a 'sub-album', give it a name i.e. 'pics to share' and move the pictures you want to share into it. (Do this by clicking 'move' on each of the pictures and selecting which sub album you want them moved to) When you've done this select the sub album you put them in and then click the 'invite guest' button This will bring up a box that you could sent by email to anyone you want to share your photos with BUT to put the link on here all you need to do is copy the URL that is in the box i.e. http ://s47.photobucket.com/albums. etc. etc. then paste that into your post. We should all then be able to click on the link and see your photos either individually or in a slideshow. Right everyone, cross fingers and toes that it works because I now have a reputation to live up to. ;D

Right, well I don't think you can paste the code into the post. You would have to use the 'upload an image' on here - which I think you've used before so know how to do. The reason is that we have the free 'Forum' to get extra options such as image tags we would have to pay for the service. Therefore the good news is that you were not doing anything wrong the bad news is you can't do the link to photobucket individual pics.

One good thing that's come out of this, I've just been double checking the options to be sure that I was right about the image loading and I found there was an option for attachments. So I added this (it is at the top of the reply box under the subject line) don't know if that will help anyone and size is limited to 100 kb but there it is if you want it. Thanks Viv!

Viv Don't know if I am too late to help you now but here we go anyway. If it is just a photo in your post you can click on browse - next to upload image in the reply box. Find your photo on your pc, then click on host it. It will then give you an option of thumbnail. Click on that then click on button at the bottom that says add to post and bingo! Like this If anyone wants to see the full size photo they just click on the thumbnail. I will be waiting now to see your photo.

I think Viv was hoping to do it direct from her Photobucket site. I think she's done photos in the past using the upload on here .......... if not then I've got her mixed up with someone else. and if you haven't used the upload on here Viv then perhaps that's what you needed all along?!!!! As Moya says, it's very easy - there are more instructions on the forum help page if you need them: smallmotorhome.proboards105.com/index.cgi?board=photoattach&action=display&thread=1152634406

Hi MOya thanks for helping but I did not manage to do it. I folloed your instructions and 'browsed' then selected a picture from 'my pictures' then clicked 'host it' , I did not get an option to select a thimbnail. I waited a long time whilst it seemed to be uploading to imageshack but then I got that horrible message that you get when you cannot get into the internet. I have forgotten what it say but it says it something about not being able to be displayed. any further help gratefully appreciated. I am obviusly totally incompetent. Give me a spreadsheet and I am a whizz!!!!!!!!!!! Viv

Hi Viv I wonder if it might be worth trying a different web browser? Are you using Internet Explorer or something else? Sometimes a change can do wonders!! I always use Firefox which seems to work with everything - if you haven't got it you can download it from a link on our website: www.smallmotorhome.co.uk Click on the 'links to other sites' -the big ' i' -and it's about half way down on the right - a white box marked 'get Firefox with Google toolbar'. Hope that helps. (For some reason I can't post the direct link, there must be an error on the site - I'll have to check it out )

Hi folks Very sorry about the size of that pic - didn't intend to post them that size - I wanted thumbnails - but I got it wrong - what a wally!! Promise I'll try harder next time!! Derek - ours is a 1995 2WD auto - and it really is a minter! Can't understand why they didn't keep it to convert into a camper, they then sell anything up to £16k. Mike

Hi Mike, You will notice in the thread about the Bongo that I've reduced the size for you. Hope that's OK with you

Hi Viv, Any luck yet? Don't know what else to suggest to help you. I am sure you will crack it eventually. Try not to get too frustrated with it.
