Isn't it quiet around here? We've got our grandchildren staying until Wednesday while Mum and Dad have a little break. What's your excuse

Isn't it quiet around here? I was thinking the same thing Pauline. Thought everyone was either away somewhere or gone to sleep. My excuse is cleaning and washing for my 85 year old mother in law Friday and Saturday and being woken up ber her phoning us at 5.45am this morning telling Roger that his car was ready at the garage! Bless her it's not her fault, she has dementia but it can get a bit trying sometimes. So after the early morning call I am just about to go and have a siesta! We are off to The New Forest next weekend though - can't wait - peace & quiet. Hope you have a nice few days with your grandchildren - I bet you will need a rest by Thursday. Our Romahome keeps our sanity. Oh by the way I have managed to put my own avatar on. Think it's ok. I meant to say as well that even our resident chatterbox hasn't been on here.

Moya said " My excuse is cleaning and washing for my 85 year old mother in law Friday and Saturday" Mike says - so you've been busy single tasking, Moya? Us men are masters of Mukti tasking - I, for instance, can doze in the chair AND listen to the radio - incredible, I hear you saying - but with practice I'm sure you girls could achieve similar skills. If you mean me, Moya, I have been busy with our grandson. (If the cap fits why not wear it?). He came yesterday and stayed overnight and then today we took him to the theatre to see The Gruffalo. He seemed to enjoy it although it was a bit scary in the 'deep dark wood' and when the children had to shout. He held my hand so that I was alright! ;D
Not sure what this 'Mukti' tasking is Mike, but I am glad that you have mastered it.

Hope you enjoy the New Forest Moya. We are having 5 minutes of peace and quiet here - amazing what peace an apple can bring isn't it?
