I thought some of you may interested in the above photo, the van on the left is 'La Mediteranee' produced by Design Developments, this is I believe, the fore runner of the Dimension. This van is owned by very good friends of ours, who now live in France. Their van is affectionately know as 'Patience' as they patiently waited over a year for it, as they wanted the updated version o f the Relay, with air con! The Romahome is ours, affectionately known as 'Prudence' as we were prudent in pt exchanging a (too big) Swift coach built for it. When we decided that the Swift was just too big, having seen how well they got on in their van we decided that the Romahome was for us. We had previously seen it at the NEC, so we knew that it was basically the same lay out but with a few extras (Heki rooflight, oven etc) So much easier to drive park etc, dont know why we ever bought the coach built, seemed a good idea at the time!!!!

Romahome Dimension Real Twins When I saw the picture of yours and your friends vans it prompted me to post this, our van and John and Wendy's van on a Dimension Rally at Hayfield Derbyshire. We 'met' John and Wendy via the UKCS site before this forum started we realised we both had the same vans and after comparing notes on our vans decided to have our 'rally'. The picture was taken by John I hope he doesn't mind me using it. Its interesting that you downsized, its amazing how many people with bigger vans ask us about our van when we are on campsites, they usually say they would like a smaller one and our seems the ideal size. I have seen the Mediteranee once or twice I think it was designed by Barry Stimson the same chap who designed the Dimension, I haven't seen inside one but imagine the layout is pretty similar. Graham

We looked at a Mediteranee before we bought our Dimension and maybe would have bought it if the dealer had offered us a better part exchange on our Trooper. As I remember it had 2 sliding doors and windows in the high top - they are visible in clarina's photo; therefore less high-level lockers than the Dimension. I can't remember anything else about it, except that it was green - a rather nice pale metallic colour! ;D You are right, Graham, it was designed by Barry Stimson. If we had bought that we might never have met you and Pauline. PS We'll send in the bill for use of the photo later!!!!!
