Anyone off anywhere exciting or are you like us and avoid the bank holiday crowd if possible? We can't this time - we are off down to Southampton to collect the Honeymooners from their cruise and are camping at the C&CC Club site at Salisbury. After two weeks of 5 star luxury and 5 course meals, camping in a two man tent next to our van and dining on Mother's home made curry will be a bit of a come down for them!! Have fun wherever your travels take you!

We are staying at home to avoid all the bank holiday traffic. We'll be out cycling on Sunday as it's John's turn to lead a ride for the cycling club. Wendy

We are having a family party and loads staying from all over eg New Forest, Shropshire, Bognor and some local so will be busy but camping is involved, as they all need beds we are giving up ours for son and partner who is expecting. Future inlaws will have one spare bedroom, the nephew, niece and their two daughters in attic, another nephew in the other spare bedroom, daughter and partner in the lounge and us in the camper van!!!!!!!!! Just dreading the clearing up and wondering what the dustmen will think with all the bottles in the bin!!. Have a nice holiday to all of you. Viv

We can't as next door house is empty and bins are full up as the neighbours the other side are using it and as they started first I suppose they have the priority!!!!! Actually we have really good neighbours and as they have 3 kids, all with cars we let them use our drive so one of the kids parks up in front of our camper which is up the side of the house so that is safer and we park across the front of the house. the lad leaves before we are up so no problem and it is helpful when we are away as he then protects our car and it looks like the house is lived in and it saves his car from damage on the road. The funny thing is that my husband said the other night "oh that is good Douglas is home safely" I only hope he does not start worrying about him like he did our own kids!!!
