Just a quick note to say that we are really looking forward to meeting all of you in Chipping Norton. We have the appropriate 1:50,000 OS map and there are lots of footpaths around the site, so a walk will be in order for those who wish on Saturday. WE WILL HAVE FUN We are off to the Gower on Sunday and will travel from there to Chipping Norton. So, sorry Graham, there will be no carrot cake, but I will have some chocolate biscuits – that is if John has not eaten them before we arrive! We intend to walk to the pub – it’s along a minor road (distance is just over 1 mile), so if you wish to walk with us, a torch and some light and/or reflective clothing might be a good idea.

We are looking forward to it, lets keep our fingers crossed about the weather, a walk on Saturday sounds good, shame about the carrot cake though Have fun at the Gower you lucky people, tell John to save me a chocolate biscuit. Graham P.S. I like the Smiley's Wendy are you competition with Moya? Perhaps we ought to have a competition for the best Smiley of the week

We got a couple of maps from the local library, Chipping Norton seemed to be on the edge of both!! Hopefully your map will be better! WE WILL HAVE FUN Is that just a statement.....or an order?! ;D

Yes, Chipping Norton is on the edge of the map, but the campsite is a bit further south and there are loads of paths going east, north and south from it. You are probably too young to be into your second childhood, Pauline, but you can join us in the FUN if you like - it is optional!

Viv said "Ive got my wellies ready and we are packed." I'm feeling optimistic - we've packed our Derriboots ( a soft-type of Wellington - really comfortable ) AND our sunglasses!! I rang the site this morning to find out about the "early arrival" fee - apparently it only applies if you turn up before mid-day !! We plan to arrive about 12.30'ish - plenty of time for a chin-wag, and to sort out our awning - it worked fine on the Hylo, but never tried it with the Bongo, so not even sure it will fit - may need some helpers with this!! The "landlord" of the site said it was horrendous up there - they have no hard standings - and they dread every van that turns up!! Maybe an immersion suit AND wellies would be in order!! Never mind - I bet we'll have a laugh!! ;D WE are coming prepared in the food line - I absolutely HATE walking, and the thought of a mile-long hike to and from the Pub makes me tremble, plus the fact we don't really drink, only TEA - loadsa TEA - so can't see us Pubbing it! Don't know if there is a Clubhouse on the site for everyone to get together - the Guide doesn't seem to say a lot about the site - more the surrounding area!! We plan to stay there on the Sunday night also, then on Monday off up to the NEC for the Bike Show - wonder if the owner of the site has a tractor to pull out stuck vans? ;D Really looking forward to meeting everyone - what time do you plan to arrive? Mike & Sue

Hi Mike and Sue, Don't worry it's each to his own - you won't be frogmarched to the pub ;D We are coming prepared for all eventualities!!! Plenty of food in case we don't fancy a walk to the pub but the option to take it back home if we do!! Camping and Caravanning Club sites never have Clubhouses but I'm sure we will find some way to have a chin wag. Looking forward to meeting you too. Mmmmm, what time do we plan to arrive? - let us know when you have your awning up and we will come after that Seriously though, probably around mid afternoon.
