I don't understand your post, Tony as I can still see the Roma Club website and the Independent Romahome Forum. Forgot my manners - so welcome from me too!

Hi Tony and welcome
I don't think there is anything wrong with having a link to the Romahome site on your website. We've got one on ours as it is a club for Romahome owners and people might be interested in joining.
I did however remove the link to the Independent Romahome Forum as I felt the way it was going recently I was ashamed to be seen to recommend it with all the offensive posts etc.
I know that Jack will be disappointed to hear of the loss of another link but if in the future it should improve and return to the nice site it used to be then I would consider reinstating the link.
As Wendy says it can still be accessed.
Feel free to add your own details into our Technical Section Tony, we hope that we will be able to help you in your quest to assist those with Honda and older Romahomes.
Why not add a link to us on your site too?

Greetings, and welcome to our small, but growing fast, Club, Tony - good to have you aboard. It is a shame the Roma Forum has sunk to such depths - a valuable resource for all Romahome owners, and one that must be saved. I think you'll agree that once Mr Marsden is ousted from his perch things should improve.
We never did get any response from our demands for an explanation of Antoinette's shocking dismissal from the Club - I'm sure she will also be pleased to see you aboard.

I've been following the events of the past few days and I think enough is enough. I've posted my thoughts on the Roma Forum and repeat them here. There is space for both groups, the rivalry is pathetic among educated adults, I'm sure this site has no desire to upset the Romaclub and its members will be welcome to join. The whole piont of buying a small motorhome is to go camping and enjoy yourself, meet like minded people and exchange experiences while making friends. I like to think that many of my customers become friends as well as customers, its the whole mentality thing. Life is too short to rise to the bait offered by a few. So my plea is to Live and let live and get on with enjoying yourselves. I will be happy to help anyone from either camp ( sorry for the pun! ) Ant -Avon Motor Caravans

I made a decision not to read the Roma Forum again but from your post Ant it sounds like further negative posts have been made.
I will not be reading them as I will not be draw into this sillyness.
We don't understand where this idea of rivalry has come from, being a member of the Roma Club ourselves we have never intended our site to be 'rival' to the Roma Forum and never will. We would love the Roma site to return to what it was so we can join in with helping fellow Romahomers.
It's obvious someone is trying to get the Roma home site closed down by using us as their medium so that we will be blamed if it does.
I'm not prepared for that to happen and join Ant in urging everyone not to rise to the bait offered.
Lets close this discussion now before it all gets out of hand.

Lets close this discussion now before it all gets out of hand. I agree, this is only one or possibly two people who are trying to provoke a response, if we ignore them they will soon get tired. Graham

I totally agree with all of the above. Yet another post has appeared which looks to me as though the person is trying to stir trouble again. I am not going to reply to anything like that again. If anyone on the Roma Forum asks a genuine question and I feel that I could help I will reply. As Ant says "Life is too short to rise to the bait offered by a few." Oh, nearly forgot. Welcome to the site Tony.

Here here. I am sure all us campers wherever we post are now just going to move on from this and enjoy ourselves as always.
I am looking forward to the meet in Spring.
This weekend I am off to Bognor again but we will not be camping as our son now has a spare bedroom, but it will be Terry in the spare bed and me on the floor on the self enflating mattress. No chivalry in our house!!!!
I was really excited to see a Romahome parked in a car park at Bognor station the last time we went, no one in it though.
Have a lovely weekend all of you.

Come on, Viv - what we want to know is how you got on yesterday at the Excel Show. Did you buy any goodies, and was it worth going to - never been to that venue - quite a bit smaller than the NEC show, I guess?

Hi Mike
I have only been to one other camping show and that was at the Newbury show ground and it was a much bigger affair with camping for the weekend and entertainment etc and all outside. Different atmoshphere all together than Excel here.
We had a lovely day though and there were loads of vans and caravans and tents and it was nice to go inside them and have a good nose around but it was quite a small exhibition hall in my opinion. Just a huge oblong hall, and you could walk up and down without missing anything.
There were a few stalls selling bits and pieces but nothing that excited me - except of course the hog roast, but alas we had taken our own sandwiches and had eaten them already.
I saw the Romahome site and the autosleepers site but they did not have the copy of the romahome which I had hoped to get a look at.
I was most impressed with the static homes, very grand at £30,000 to £220,000 but what luxurious holiday homes they would be. Not my choice as I like to move around but my sister was interested. However it did make me think how nice it would be to have a nice small bungalow all designer fitted out to live in permanently rather than rattling around in this big house now the kids have gone.
We had a lovely ride on the Docklands light railway to get there and that was fun as well and I just love London and particularly to see the Thames.
All in all a good day out but being a bit of a slob I did hanker after a bit of mud and a hot dog covered in mustard and onions.

Hi everyone, am delighted Tony Swann has joined the site, he has been a great help to me in the past and I am sure you will find him a very very knowledgeable man especially about the Honda Demountables. Know Pauline and all the members here will make him welcome - thought I would write this as you probably wonder who is is, now you know I for one would vouch for him
