Just to let you know that we (Penny , Derek & Barney) will be at the meet. We have booked the time off work and just have to book the site. Sounds like it is going to be fun, fun, fun.

Hallo All, It was very encouraging to see all the interest in my suggestion of a meet at Wolverley. The response has been excellent with so far 7 units definitely booked in with the site and another 5 intending to. It is quite a large site with 120 pitches so there should be plenty of space for any more of you who might decide to come at shorter notice. However it is impossible to say how popular this weekend might be, it being the first one that the site is open since October. So perhaps it might be a good idea not to leave it too late. Summarizing the bookings we have, in no particular order Definitely bookedJohns1 & Wendy Pauline & Graham Viv & Terry Mike & Heather MartinW Lunnie (Joan) Lizzie by the Beach Pendel (Penny & Derek) Malcolm and Hilary Jayjay glenw (Glen & Claire) Intending to BookDancer Jax Chowzamma ? Any others that I might have missed? I will contact the site when they open and ask for them to arrange to place us on adjacent pitches. Looking forward to meeting up with you all.

We are also looking forward to the meet, it will be great to catch up with old friends and meet some new ones too, the way its shaping up it could be our best attended meet so far, it will certainly be the first time a cat has been to a Small Motorhome Meet, Pauline is looking forward to having a cuddle with Barney.

Yes Graham, its going to be GRRREAT and I wish Pauline good luck with the cuddle as Barney is a bit of a s** sometimes. Problem is , he's a male and like most male's (cats I hasten to add) he likes to be in charge. Derek is his favorite in the house and I am just there to feed him and wait on him paw and paw, haha. He is better behaved when we are away so Pauline may catch him in a good mood.

Believe me Pauline is used to "difficult" cats, after all he can't be any worse than our Denzil, he will only do what you want on his terms, can't imagine taking him camping it would be a nightmare, guess you've got to start young.

We did start young with Barney. We tried to get a harness for him at 6 weeks old but none were available for kittens so we got a ferret harness. That fitted him. He got used to it and is happy to wear a harness & lead all the time when we are away. At least it is something to grab if he does run off. We take him with us because we dont have anyone we trust enough to leave him with.

Hi everyone,
Sorry but Kris and I will not be able to make this meet as I am away on a course. Wolverley is a nice site, we stayed there last year before the Hayfield meet. Be warned that the facilities are not 'new' although they are perfectly serviceable and cleaned to the usual standard. The pub on the lock is fine and the food was good when we went there, although was a bit pricey. If you walk along the canal (go under the bridge and away from the pub) you can get to Kidderminster in about 25 mins. You will come into a big retail area to start with including a Sainsbury's so not far to go for supplies if you run short. Try not to get pitched near the main road as this is very busy and carries on late into the night with heavy traffic. Hope you all have a great time and hope to see you all at the next meet. Talking of which we are booked into the Canterbury sight for Easter - from Thursday 20th March till the Tuesday so if anyone is free and wants to join us feel free.

Sorry that you can't make it, Tim, but we thought that it might be a bit far for you for a weekend and the course puts it right out. Thanks for the info re the site - we'll investigate the pub when we get there.
Enjoy Canterbury - that it is a nice site and withing walking distance of the city. I don't think that we will be joining you as we tend to go in that direction only for the ferry!
Edited to say that John says it's quite a long walk to the town, so best to take your bikes! ;D

Thanks for the info Wendy, the bikes will be pleased to see daylight as they have been in the back of the shed at the end of the garden since we moved - not been able to get near them for painting and building projects!!

The price of being so young The cheaper price is for the 'over 55s' and those with only 1 person in the booking. Glad that you are going to join us and look forward to meeting you.
