Hi Ant I want to switch the heater blower between the leisure batt and the normal feed. I am hoping to switch with a relay operated by the same lead as the split charge relay. I have the Haynes manual for the Berlingo and the Partner which has circuit diagrams for both. Some information seems to be conflicting and what I want to know, missing completely. They also keep the wiring colours secret as well I have copied the Partner heater circuit diagram and I am guessing that that the actual heater unit wiring is the same for the Berlingo. My questions in order Is the diagram correct (for the blower) What is the colour of the batt feed (blue arrow) Are these the wires (they go to the blower, I think )
Thanks Derek PS It is a 2004 Berlingo with the new headlamps

Hi Derek. Those three wires are not the heater blower wires they are the fridge switch wires and the trigger wire for the relays. The white wire is the earth, the red goes to the fridge relay trigger, the red/white is an ignition trigger for the split charger relay. As your diagram shows the heater blower has only two wires ( red and black) the feed comes to the blower motor first and is earthed via the switch control. If you want to swap the feed you'll need a 5 terminal relay that switches from one feed to another, the central switched relay terminal being the wire to the blower and the other two terminals on the swiched side of the relay being fed from the vehicle battery and the caravan battery, note which terminal is active when the relay is dormant and feed this one with the caravan battery, the other will switch when you start the engine. Hope this helps. Ant

Thanks for that, very helpful. I should have noticed that those wires were not base vehicle wiring. Handy to know what they are. I think that I have found the red and black now where they plug into the motor
Thanks again
