???Hi. I'm a new member and about to pick up my first motorhome tommorrow - a 1995 romahome C15 hi top. I'd like to buy an awning for it but looking at all the forums I'm not sure which ones will fit. I'd like a driveaway and some people seem to recommend the movelite xl which looks like the kind of awning I'm after. Does this fit or is there a better option? Can anyone help/advise.
Thanks,
sooz.

Don't know about the XL but we have the ordinary movelite and are well satisfied!

Thanks Peter. I'll have a look at the ordinary movelite. Picked up my Romahome today and drove it home. Love it already!
Sooz.

Hi Sooz, We have got the Movelite as well for our Duo Hylo and very pleased with it. It has stood up to all weathers since we bought it a year ago. Here is their website with all the measurments etc. www.outdoor-revolution.co.uk/movelite.phpI think Towsures have got them at the moment for about £159.

Hi Sooz When we had our Duo we had a Harrison driveaway awning, I think they are purpose built for the Romahome. It has a aluminium frame and is very sturdy but probably heavier and will take up more room (when storing) than the movelight. www.smallmotorhome.co.uk/Resources/duoawning1.pngNot sure where to tell you to get one, ours was supplied with the Romahome. They cost around £450 but you do sometimes see them for sale second hand. Regards Graham

Hi Moya Welcome back, we've missed you! Glad to see your still "smallmotorhoming". Regards Graham Thanks for that Graham & Pauline. Yes I am still here and just about manage to make time to read all the posts but not reply. A lot of our time is being taken up now trying to keep things running smoothly with my mother in law. Unfortunately she is getting worse (severe memory loss) and even though we have carers in we still have to between us go round every evening and weekends taken up with her shopping, cleaning etc. It isn't her fault bless her but sometimes our stress levels get a bit high. Our weekends away (we try to go once a month) keep our sanity. We love our van! There are a few threads that I have read in the last couple of weeks that I want to add to. I am definitely going to make time. Sorry if I have gone right off topic on this one now but wanted to let you know that I appreciated your welcome and you are both still doing a great job.

Hi DJS, and welcome.... I also have a movelite awning... it's a good fit and reasonably easy to set up.... I think u'll find the XL version too big!
Prices range a lot... but keep an eye out on ebay and in adtrader etc... i picked mine up for £40 and it had only been used once or twice previously!...

Thanks everyone for the advice on awnings. I'm buying a movelite as everyone seemed to agree that's the best option. I think you are right Jamie, the xl might be just a bit too big. Pauline - don't mind at all the catch up chat on this thread so don't apologise. Glad to see everyone takes time to have a friendly chat.
