How do I get this fridge to work?

Hi - I've just bought a Bedford Rascal romahome (demountable) and everything seems to work apart from the fridge.

It is an old little one, Electrolux RM122F. I have downloaded the operating and instruction manual for it, which tell me how it should light on gas (it has gas or 12v option).

Should I be able to see the piezo ignition spark from the peephole on the front? I can't see a spark. Tried turning on the gas, and following all the instructions, but there doesn't appear to be any gas going into it. Nor can I see a spark which would light any.

Any ideas? I know from reading other posts that these can be hard to light. I'm hoping it works and I'm just doing something wrong!

When we had a C15 hightop we could see the spark through the window but not sure it was the same make of fridge as yours.

Hopefully someone will come along with that make of fridge and be able to tell you for sure.
