I have recently became the proud owner of a c15 hytop romahome.Unfortunately the internal lights and the water pump do not work. This didn't bother me when i bought it as i'm going to fit a Zig cf9 charging unit, but i need to know where the wires are routed so i can tap into them.Is there a panel i can remove to access the water pump switch? There is a leisure battery. It has a fused brown lead and a red lead going to the +ve and a white lead going to the -ve.The red lead is from the car charging circuit via a relay. The brown fused wire is a feed from the leisure battery, can anyone tell me where it goes.It disappears towards the engine. The fridge works on 12v via a relay from the switch on the dashboard.Hook up works fine.Any help would be much appreciated.By the way hello to eveyone and a happy new year. Thanks Brian

Hi Brian. You don't say if the van has a Zig switch panel? If not the brown wire is likely to disappear behind the water tank on the near side. If you move the tank all will be revealed, you'll find an earth cluster of white wires, the heavy brown from the battery feeding a light red to the lights, a heavy red to the 12v socket ( if fitted) and a light brown to the water pump. If the battery was fitted at a later stage ie not original, the heavy brown would go into the engine bay to the fuses next to the battery where it will meet all the various wire mentioned. If you get lost give me a call. Ant

Hi Ant,thanks for your help,i'll remove the water tank and have a look.I have electric hook-up but no zig.I'm going to fit a cf9 once i've found all the cables that i can tap into.I've only got the water pump and the lights to wire into the zig.I'll also put in a couple of dc sockets as well.I don't have to worry about the fridge, thats wired direct through the hook-up (240v) and 12v through the car battery via a relay.I better get on with it then,i'll let you know when it's done,thanks,Brian........Well i took out the water tank and all was revealed.I found a scotch connector with a wire hanging off, lights now working thanks. The water pump still doesn't work though. One side of the pump(the white lead) is grounded to chassis. The other side of the pump is a red lead that goes up towards the luton.I would have thought that this lead would be 'live 'going to the switch on the tap. There is a brown lead going though a hole in the floor(0 volts),is that going to the tap switch?it all seems very confusing.

Hi Ant,i've now got the strip and bunk lights working with your help thanks but i can't get the water pump to work.I have found the tap switch connections in the wardrobe(red and brown) and the brown feed wire but i can't find the red return.I have a white lead on the pump going to ground and a red lead on the other side that disappears up towards the luton. Is that the red return wire?should the brown be live feeding the tap switch? If so i'll wire it to the new zig unit and hopefully get it working. Many thanks for help,Brian.

Brian. Try connecting the two wires in the wardrobe together ( effectively bypassing the water pump switch) if the pump works replace the tap/switch, it's quite a common failure. I suspect the vertical red wire is on the lighting side not the pump side. Ant
