My ex-boyfriend owns a pub, in Chesterfield Derbyshire... and asked when I was going to come over to see him (we are good friends!) and I said, when I find a nice camp site near to you, so I can stay overnight, etc... in my little vanny... Oh, he says, there's a field at the back of the pub, that I own, just right for camping! Heaven would be a field at the back of a pub in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.... so I suggested he made it into a rally site just for us - I'll keep you posted!!! ;D ;D ;D 'Tis rather like this one..... in the Staffy peaks, which I thought rather nice. www.royaloakwetton.co.uk/

Hi JayJay
Up until June this year I worked in Chesterfield, which pub is it? I might know it, there are some really nice pubs there, as you say a field at the back of a pub would be an ideal rally field.

Hi Graham - it's called The Parkhouse and it's in Pilsley Road, Danesmoor, Chesterfield. Yes, it would be ideal for a rally field - I think he's need to set up a water supply and stuff, but he'd give us a cheap rate!!! ;D Dancer - I've never stopped in chesterfield, only visited it for the day, or driven thru on the way to somewhere else. That church spire is awesome!

Hi Graham - it's called The Parkhouse and it's in Pilsley Road, Danesmoor, Chesterfield. I'm not familiar with that one, Danesmoor is just outside Chesterfield in Clay Cross I think, I worked in the centre of Chesterfield very near to the crooked spire. We'll watch this space with interest to see if you can persuade your friend to get it set up for camping. Graham

Next year we are going to try and get away as much as possible so hope the weather is good. Always ideal having a pub site as a meal is always welcome occasionally. Look forward to a meet at The Parkhouse sometime soon, but after the Winter, fair weather campers are we!!!
