Ant has very kindly agreed to let us add a section where you can ask specific questions that you would like to direct towards him. Ant was a little concerned that, as a dealer, it might look like he was touting for business, but we know him better than that don't we? and know that he will give good, honest impartial advice (as always) and if that happens to bring him some business then so be it - we are more than happy to recommend him from our own personal experience.

May I second the comment made about Ant, he offered extremely helpful hints and tips before my trip to Switzerland last week and it is terrific to know that people like him still exist in what has become quite a cynical environment I think. He deserves all work that may come his way, clearly this is a genuinely helpful bloke who is happy to offer assistance with no ulterior motive. He was working away when my call was made and broke off from what he was doing to spend ages talking to me, he really put my mind at rest about the qualities of these fantastic vehicles. Good luck and fortune to him I say! Steve.

Second everything thats been said. I always refer to Ant's advice when trying to resolve anything in my van. If he gets some extra business - well I think he more than deserves it. I only wish he was based near me Sooz.

I only wish he was based near me Yes we've said that many a time, come on Ant you will have to relocate to a more central location or open a few more outlets and clone yourself. ;D Graham

Avon Motor Caravans nearly went down the expansion road about 10 years ago but decided to wait a bit to judge the business levels required to sustain extra overheads. It was a good job we did wait as the market dipped shortly afterwards and in 2002 my business partner on the sales side died, which meant I was holding the baby on both the sales and my more natural environment the workshop. My other partner is 83 and does not get too involved anymore. So I'm affraid you'll have to put up with what you've got as I can't do any more even with Pam ( my wife) doing more and more on the sales and telephone side. In order to continue I need to enjoy my work and to become a large faceless dealership would I'm sure remove the enjoyment. I need to make a profit on what I do to survive, thats obvious, but its not the be all and end all, just as the cheapest price isn't always the best deal! On my location, you're the ones with a Motorcaravan, aren't they designed for travelling!! Thank svery much for all the kind words. Ant

At least you are located in a lovely part of the country, so a visit is not a hardship. Maybe just the time factor for those who are still working. Still, even they must have holidays.
