What does everyone do for security? Eg padlocks, chains, alarms, clamps.

Hi Marc
Our van is kept on the front of the house and we have a wheel clamp, we decided to get one when someone round the corner had their motorhome stolen. Apart from that we haven't got an alarm or anything but I think anyone would be hard pressed to get past the clamp.
Regards Graham

my motor has a chain around the base of the driver seat not to the actual seat but to the floor panel that it bolts to. that then goes around the stearing wheel and padlocked so there fore the wheel can not be turned. its a genius invention but i have to say it wasnt my idea it was my fiances grandad. it works a treat.
you can also buy alarms with sensors for the doors and bonnet. its like a push button and when the door is opened (or bonnet) it makes/breakes a contact and inturn sets the alarm of its again a brill invention. mine has one fitted and it also has a motin sensor, the other week i forgot the alarm was on and went to change the wiper blade, all i did was lift it up without touching the motor and it went off (at 7 in the morning hehehe) just look around you will find one

The simple ones are the best! I've looked at the side windows and stable door of my rascal roma, and it looks like a lost cause as far as the living quarters go, but I like your chain idea. Do you know what nake the alarm you mention is? my motor has a chain around the base of the driver seat not to the actual seat but to the floor panel that it bolts to. that then goes around the stearing wheel and padlocked so there fore the wheel can not be turned. its a genius invention but i have to say it wasnt my idea it was my fiances grandad. it works a treat. you can also buy alarms with sensors for the doors and bonnet. its like a push button and when the door is opened (or bonnet) it makes/breakes a contact and inturn sets the alarm of its again a brill invention. mine has one fitted and it also has a motin sensor, the other week i forgot the alarm was on and went to change the wiper blade, all i did was lift it up without touching the motor and it went off (at 7 in the morning hehehe) just look around you will find one nibbles
