I'm still getting used to my Romahome, and loving it, but one question has occurred to me: how long can you use the interior lights without flattening the battery? I have two strip lights, and two spotlights -- could I have a strip light on for a couple of hours without worrying? At the moment I mainly use a wind-up torch to be safe. Thanks!

Hi Andrew, do you have a separate leisure batt and/or mains hookup or are you using the normal vehicle battery?

Hi, I had the C15 with no lesiure battery and was able to have lights on for about 3days before worrying, in fact the battery never when dead, you only have to run the engine to build up the charge again. I was informed by the previous owner they had managed, 5 days, but I didnt chance that.
Hope that helps

I'm ashamed to say I don't know if there's a leisure battery! Where would I look to find one? (It's a 1995 C15.)
But thanks, it's very reassuring to know that I'm not going to kill the battery with an hour or two of reading.

Hi Andrew,
In our '95 C15 the leisure battery was in the under seat/bed storage behind the passenger seat.

Hi Andrew, Welcome to the club, we have a 1995 C15, also and like Pauline says, the leisure battery can be found under the passenger side seat/bed. We had an earlier model, G-Reg, and the battery was hidden behind a piece of hardboard, also on L/H/S. If you are worried about how long lights may stay on, invest in a more powerful leisure battery, 110 amps, available at a good price at motorhome shows. We also carry a 1000 watt inverter,,,,,,, Cheers, Jack & Pat, Cornwall.

There doesn't seem to be a leisure battery -- behind the left seat (it's left hand drive) there's just the water tank, and behind the right seat, just storage space. But if the main battery keeps the lights going for four or five hours, that will do me fine. Thanks for your help!
