Just felt I had to welcome our latest member, mamalazaru
Maybe a fellow "League of Gentlemen" fanatic I wonder?
Is Dave there? ;D

Hi Mamalazaru
A big welcome from me too, I hope you get your Romahome one day, they are great little vehicles you can't go wrong.
If you REALLY don't know who League of Gentlemen are it was a weird comedy programme on BBC and Pappalazaru was a character who stole people's wives! I can only assume from your user name you must have been stolen. ;D

Hi Graham Pappalazaru huh? - "He's my husband now!!" We will get a roma one day soon I hope - "Papa" is also really enthusiastic now. We are keen festival goers and haven't missed a Glasto since 1989 - but are throwing the towel in this year (it's got mud on it!) maybe if we'd had a roma last year we wouldn't feel this way. I'll keep looking for bargains on ebay - it's just taking that leap into the unknown, though my car is on its last legs and the tent is wearing thin in places so who knows....? The thought of not having to do two long trecks from car to site with everything piled up on a sack barrow is heaven, not to mention washing facilities etc. etc..... sigh!......soon. Will keep looking and keep you posted. Mamalazaru in sunny Scarborough

Hi Graham Pappalazaru huh? - "He's my husband now!!" Ha ha, nice one, so you did watch it! ;D We have several people on here who use their Romahomes for festivals, and there has been a thread started by Rachael last year all about her trip to Glastonbury, you might like to read it HEREMeanwhile, it sounds like Pappalazaru has come round to your way of thinking and lets hope you get one soon before summer is here so you can get out and enjoy yourselves. Best of luck, keep us informed. Graham

....really looking forward to the Big Chill in Herefordshire (been the last 4 years) it's slightly more easy going and laid back (and sunny!) than glasto - The Mighty Boosh are heading the new Comedy tent this year so should be good ,if we can get anywhere near the tent. Also hoping to drop in on couple of smaller festivals closer to home, Moor and Musicport. I saw some footage of the Glasto budget fest and it looked like a lot of fun - enjoy!
Went to see the League of Gents when they visited sunny Scarbs a couple of years ago - superb - If you get the chance well worth it.
cheers again for such a nice "hello!" mamalazaru

glastonbudget is on weekend of 23-25th may, tickets from here www.glastonbudget.co.uk/www/index_new.pl/home i've never been but it looked like fun. tributes to red hot chillie peppers, oasis, prodigy, guns n roses, sex pistols, the jam, queen, madness, bon jovi, beatles and led zeplin according to website, plus I know a crowded house tribute are appearing too. Also a stage of unsigned bands and all wrapped up by the original Bad Manners! what more could you ask for! early bird tickets were a bit cheaper, but £47.50 inc van now. its held in Wymeswold,Leicestershire. It'd be great if you could come along!
