Hi everyone. Can someone tell me if the camping cheques are worth having. I was planning to buy the cheques with a ferry to Spain (Santander) but for 14 days camping with my Duo Hylo and the ferry I have been quoted £631. This seems excessive to me. I know that this has been posted before but I would like to hear anyones view.

Sounds a bargain to me - we priced it up last year to take our Dimension to Santander using Touring Cheques and the price for June with 14 cheques was almost £900
Having said that we love Touring Cheques as they do save quite a lot on the site fees for the more expensive sites.
Have you tried getting a comparison price by using the on line booking for Brittany Ferries? you don't have to go as far as booking but it will give you a price for if you wanted to book direct.

Hi Pauline, Thanks for your feedback. I was already partially convinced that the price was OK, but having you confirm it was nice. Thank you for your reply. Regards, Eugene.

You can also buy the cheques without the package; also at www.campingcard.com for under a tenner you can get a camping card which entitles you to camp off-season for 10,12 or 14 euros per night, with EHU and you get the guide book as well. The off-season is usually from the end of August to the end of june ISH

That's what we are doing this year with Touring Cheques, we've booked the ferry independently but will take a few touring cheques plus the Caravan Club Priviledge Card (thanks Wendy) and try to get a good bargain price at a campsite or two!
