Hi Ant. Am I correct in thinking that you hire out Romahomes to 'try before you buy' ? I think I read this somewhere. Regards Robin

Hi Robin. My Try B 4 U Buy scheme is not really a hire scheme, it is aimed at those people who fancy the idea of a small Romahome but aren't quite sure if its going to be big enough. In order for me to insure a vehicle to be driven without me going with it the driver has to be a customer already, that way the vehicle is covered by my service loan car insurance. So how the scheme works is this, You place an order for what you think you might want, pay my normal £250 order deposit, in the eyes of the insurers you are now a customer, I now lend you my TB4UB vehicle ( currently an Outlook exclusive) for 2 nights 3 days ( max time for my service loan car), you have a wonderful short holiday and come back to ether say "sorry I don't think I could cope with that for long" in which case your £250 is retained as a a hire charge, or, as is more likely, you say "when can I have one!" your £250 remains as the order deposit and there is no charge for the hire period. The Idea was that you may be prepared to risk the loss of £250 finding out if a Romahome was for you rather than spending £26000 odd and then finding out it didn't work for your needs. As the TB4UB vehicle is a new Outlook it only really give a true impression of a new vehicle, we did lend it out once to someone buying a 5yr old Romahome and they found the new layout worked well for them but the older layout didn't . What happened? they ended up spending much more money! Ant
