c15 Hytop

I am not sure if I am allowed to do this, but it is done in good faith, and may result in helping someone getting on to the campervan ladder. I was asked by an aquaintance (trusted) if I new of anyone who would buy his elderly parents c15 Hytop. It's a G reg, new clutch, two new doors, diesel, and well looked after. If any of you know of anyone who may be interested I would pass on the sellers telephone number. I have seen the vehicle and know this to be genuine. I don't think they are expecting a lot for it.
Anyway, we are off to Norfolk for a week over Easter, hoping the weather stays fine. Alan.

Sadly its all down to a 'compact' budget! so maybe, congratulations on creating a really good community and site by the way, I've lurked around this and other previous specialist boards (enough said!) for a while.
Unfortuately at six foot I really don't fit a rascal, but I'm sure a citroen C15 would fit...hooray!.
I've had a variety of campervans over the years, Transit Frontier, VW xplorer and more recently a JC Hyjet. I moved down to Brighton in 2000 and thought that might aswage (sp) my campervan desires....... but oh no, the bug bites hard doesn't it?
So there we are! I look forward to hearing from Alan.

One good thing with Romahomes is that they seem to last forever so won't be too much of a strain on your budget

Thanks for the contact details Alan, much appreciated. Unfortunately that Romahome was sold to an acquaintance of the sellers family, so the search goes on!

There are several on eBay at the moment, depends if you want to travel but they might be near you.

Am trawling a number of sites, eBay, Preloved, Freeads and Gumtree being the main one's, and yes I'd travel for the right one! My work means that I'm too busy for whole tracts of time for a sustained attack on the market. Any more thoughts or leads are most welcome! my budget probably negates buying from a dealer however.

If you haven't found one already then it's definitely worth placing a 'wanted' ad on Preloved. I did this, was contacted by a relatively local lady who was in the process of trading her van to JC Leisure. I popped along, the van was exactly what I'd dreamed of and I'm sure I probably saved about £2k on JC Leisure's forecourt price.
