Anyone ever used this service? If so, what were your experiences?

We used some of their sites last year. The owners were all very pleasant and, of course, we bought some of their goodies. There was no compulsion to buy. Our only niggle was that they are in very out of the way places (they are mostly farms after all) and it didn't really suit us to wander way off the beaten track for one night. The ones we stayed at were a cider farm, a goat farm (no it didn't smell at all and they were having an open day, which was really interesting) and a restaurant. Don't expect any facilities, not even a water tap or rubbish bin. It is a good scheme if it suits your way of travelling, but we will not be re-joining this year. For one night stops we will use village aires or small campsites.

Anyone ever used this service? If so, what were your experiences? Doug I have joined France Passion for my trip this year. For me it is perfect as I intend to explore out of the way places (courtesy of Tomtom!) and it does seem that campsites are few & far between when you get off the beaten tourist tracks. I have a friend who used them 2 years ago and she was quite happy to recommend them to me (I will be travelling alone). She found that they vary from a space in the corner of a field with no facilities at all, to a nice little area near the farmhouse, with fresh water on tap and pretty flower beds around! So, mostly very basic, but better than a lay-by! When are you off to France?

When are you off to France? Well, we haven't decided yet - hoping to make a couple of trips maybe in June and September/October. Doug
