You'll be fine! We are also going to Scotland - leaving sunny Sussex for the long jaunt north on Sunday. I don't think our paths will cross though, as I'm staying on the mainland. This time we're staying for 4 nights at Cullen on the Moray Firth, then up to Dunnet Head for a few nights before heading down the West Coast for a few nights at Gairloch. We're due back on 3rd June. Have great trip, and the wee midges shouldn't be too bad yet.........!!!

Hi Sid!
Cullen (and all the little ports along that stretch) are absolutely gorgeous! Dunnet Head is stunning! Will you be taking in the top coast? Thurso is a nice little place and the beaches at Tongue and Balnakiel take some beating!
Have a good time!
I don't think I'll be as wimpy once I've picked up my co-driver! Until then it's just me and the dog - and she's no help if you break down. Do have a nice man from the AA on backup though!! ;D

Hi jayjay,
I know the Moray coast fairly well, and yes, the little villages are great and the beaches usually deserted- ideal for our dogs. We haven't been along the "top edge" before though, so looking forward to that. After Cullen, we are staying at the CC sit at Dunnet and will "motor out" from there.
I'd love to tour the Isles one day. What's your itinerary?

Thanks for all the support! I wish I hadn't been talked into this so soon - could have done with a few more local, shorter trips first (I've only done one to Wolverley!) Still, thinking postive thoughts and hoping everything will be alright! Sid, the itinery for my tour is here: smallmotorhome.proboards105.com/index.cgi?board=meet&action=display&thread=1710if the link doesn't work, it's in the 'Want to meet up' section under Scottish Islands, got to do next year!' or something like that! It's the 17th post down the thread that has the details! Keep your fingers crossed I make it - and make it back 'ome as well! ;D

The link worked a treat, thanks. Sounds like it will be a amazing trip. Fingers duly crossed for you to have a stress free journey and calm waters on the crossings!
