Hi Folks Got an interesting question - I think so anyway - I have just been From East Sussex down to Bodmin and then to Llantwitt Major and to Devises and back to East Sussex all I saw was one Romahome - so where are they all? is there a Romahome Land where they all live.

Dunno about anyone else, but we have just been up north for three weeks, and none sighted there either!

Ive just got back from two and a half weeks in Bodmin.
Two hylows on site for a few days both elderly ladies, said hello but didn't seem to want to chat, and one duo two days be for I left, didn't see owner.
And thats it
Had two weeks in North Norfolk be for that and only saw one on the road somewhere.
Its probably the price of fuel, people aren't going away so much.
I heard, on the local radio, while I was in Cornwall that there was a marked lack of caravans this year.
They count them on the A30 apparently

Hi Martin I did wonder if the price of fuel would affect folks taking their vans out camping but this weekend we decided at the last minute to try and book a site for the weekend and almost everywhere was booked up but we did manage to book a C&CC site at Conkers without facilities that had some spaces. Perhaps folk are picking and choosing and maybe going to sites more local to them to save petrol, I know we think twice now before venturing out, we wait to see what the weather is doing, trouble is by the time we know that everywhere is booked up. Hi Graham
I think you have hit the nail on the head.
People still want to go away and use their units so must organize things accordingly.
Nice to see you had a good time in France

Dunno about anyone else, but we have just been up north for three weeks, and none sighted there either! I told a lie We DID see a Romahome, two sightings in fact. Number one was parked on the C & CC site at Beadnell on the Northumberland coast, 14th June 4PM ish. We were driving past and did not see anyone in attendance. Number two was parked at York racecourse Sat 21st June (I believe). The owner was deep in conversation with another guy as we cycled past so we did not interrupt to introduce ourselves as Romahomers. Possibly saw a Dimension travelling north on the M11, Harlow/Stanstead area on Sunday 22nd June. We were travveling opposite direction and only had a fleeting glance!

That seems pretty good We do seem to spread ourselves fairly thin!! We saw the sum total of 2 HyLos when in Cornwall in May, and needless to say not one in France, though we caused the usual interest among the locals!
We booked up before going to Cornwall in May as it was a Bank Holiday so we thought we would be fighting for space, but the site was less than half full. It was about the time of the planned strikes over fuel, so guess that put folks off, plus fuel prices rising at an alarming rate!
Think we have all been conned as we were encouraged to buy diesel cars etc, now most run on diesel, the price beats petrol...funny that! Price in France is still less than petrol!
