Has anybody fitted a rack & storage box to the rear doors of a Dimension and still use the rear doors. Pete

Hi Pete I have been thinking along the same lines for my Mk1 Dimension, but cannot make up my mind should I get a FIAMMA rack and storage box, or a tow bar and small baggage trailer. Advantages and dis-advantages to both, and price wise about the same. Would be nice to have both. Will wait until NEC show to make up my mind. Dave

I wanted extra storage for our Mazda Bongo - and came up with the Khyam Cargo rack and soft Cargo bag. The rack is very ingenious, fitting securely to the tow ball, and locking into place with a couple of bolts. With the rack along in place, I can open the rear tailgate of the Bongo, plus it makes a great camping table! With the bag in place, which I made a quick(ish) release, I can't open the rear door. Here's a picture of the rack in place:- ( click to enlarge ) And a close-up of the attachment system:- And here's one with the bag and rack in place:- We had 24 hours of torrential rain on our first day in France last year, and none of the bedding in the bag got wet - but we had taken the precaution of wrapping everything in a huge polythene bag first. I am very pleased with the Khyam system - it certainly free's up valuable space inside the van - and on site, the Cargo bag lives in the awning, but we leave the rack in place. Mike
