Hi Ant,
What do you think of the St Michel's based on the Renault Traffic with petrol engine.
Really like the look of one, complete with own shower and loo, and no need to exit vehicle to reach the interior.
Many thanks - Joan

Hi Joan. The St Michel would only suit you if you don't take any friends away with you, the bed is one single or one double, with the double made up you have to shuffle off the end of the bed to get to the loo compartment. Having said that most of the vehicles we sold new are still owned by the original owners so it must work for them. Go for the 2.2 petrol if possible, the 2.1 diesel was very slow, the 1725 petrol was under powered, and the 2.5 diesel was quite rare and made a lot of noise. The rear bathroom won all the prizes in its day! Thanks Ant

Hi Ant,
It is the 2.2 petrol it is at Springfields Bridlington, they have it on ebay, I am in Filey next week, there is only me ever to sleep in the van, it was the bathroom that attracted me, I dont want to pay out for the dimension, as I am not using the van sufficiently to justify the cost.
Only thing bothering me is the 20 -25mpg - ouch
I was concerned that the bodywork would stand up and the mechanics, as the c15 is such a brilliant engine, and the body waterproof (well after you had made it so!)
Does the front seats swivel round?
Many thanks for your time, dont suppose you have one in stock do you?
Would need to px Freda
Joan

Hi Joan. As the body is all Renault van tin work you have to keep an eye on it a bit more ( wheel arches, around the side windows, around the lights). I think you'll have to drive it quite hard to only get 20mpg, that 2.2 is not working very hard. I have a customer with a 96 St Michel who at her last service had done 95000 miles without any major problems on the way. Check the tyres are good as they are a strange size and therefore quite expensive. Most of them had swivelling seats at the front. Sadly I don't have one here or can think of any of my customers who own one who would want to change it. Thanks Ant

Thanks for that Ant. Will have a look at it and more than likely dream.
