Hello everyone, I thought I'd introduce myself while taking a break from motorhome research! This seems a fantastic forum, really helpful, so hopefully I'll be spending some more time here in the future ;D
A bit about me: I'm from mid Wales originally and still spend some time there but I work across the UK. I've never owned a motorhome before, never even driven a van, so researching it I can tell it's going to be a great new experience! My big cunning masterplan is to live pretty much full time in it for the next few years; one vehicle so I can live wherever I'm working. I love climbing and paragliding / paramotoring too so it should be great for them also with maybe some trips around Europe.
Not quite sure what I'm going to get yet. I had two guided tours through two very different homes in the space of 15 minutes in the Morrisons car park last weekend (are all motorhomers that enthusiastic about them?!! ) Having spent years car camping in lay-bys around various climbing spots I'm not exactly after the height of luxury but it's a bit different when you're planning on living in one! On the one hand I love the mini-tardis appeal of the Romahome Hylo, on the other hand the shower and extra roominess of something like the Dimension II would be really nice to have but I'm worried how I'd cope with height barriers and not being able to park in multi-storey car parks. Four seats would be useful but being single one bed is plenty... I'm not opposed to using folding crates for storage space so I guess they could go on the others when they're not in use. Clothes space and a hanging rail would be great too but some string tied up would probably do. Then there's winterisation with the possibility of spending weeks at a time in northern Scotland. Maybe a tardis is what I actually need after all ;D
Thanks for reading anyway, if you have any suggestions please feel free to comment! You get to a point where you go round and round in circles!
Cheers! Ioan
