Hi Pauline,
Sorry I haven't got back sooner, haven't been on line much in the last couple of weeks, been doing some work in the house next door for my friend.
Thanks for asking, Niqk is still going but not so strong, his back legs are getting weaker and his front legs sometimes give way but he seems happy enough, still eating but picks at it during the day until it has all gone.
Cant take him away and I wont put him in kennels so it's just a matter of waiting.
Martin

Hi Martin, I was wondering the same. Give him a cuddle from me! Merlyn isn't doing so well either, just old age, legs gone stiff and occasionally 'dips' her back legs, I think it's her hips playing up. I'm hoping she might improve a bit now we're out of that cold damp house - I have the same problems! I've started giving her half a teaspoon of cod liver oil a day for her joints (she doesn't suit the pedigree joint ease stuff for dogs & it costs a fortune) , she has the bottled variety... I ran out of capsules for myself the other day and thought I'd just have a spoonful of M's - groooghhhh no wonder it's in capsules! M doesn't seem to mind it though! ;D

Sorry to hear about the dogs I know it is no fun having a sick dog. they would love a tin of sardines in oil mixed with the usual food every other day and it would be good for their joints.

Hi all, I give him cod liver oil capsules in his food but just lately he wont eat them just spits them out, and I have given up trying to put them in his mouth, so sardines sounds like a good idea, I'll get some next time I go shopping, I think he might like them. Thanks for the tip fuzzy, he is not what you would call "sick" he's just old, he will be 16 in November so for that age I think he isn't doing too bad. Pats and cuddles duly given, and he says thank you Yes I have been busy lately, with putting new panels on the van, which is now finished, and helping my friend with his house next door, still a lot to do, and I don't think it will be ready for Christmas, but at least my part of the work is almost done. As he live in France now and this is only a base for him in England there is really no great rush. Just out of interest here is a picture I took of his house in France when I was over there.

Glad to hear Niqk is still around! ;D
Get the sardines in sunflower oil, not tomato sauce - too much sugar&salt in the tomato ones.
I put ordinary cod liver oil from a bottle (seven seas variety from the chemists) and give M a child size dose every day. Too early to tell if its working yet. Some dogs will lick it straight off the spoon! M has it on her dinner and doesn't seem to mind.
That house in France is something else, isn't it? What a lovely building. ;D

He must have heard you telling Graham that old Niqk is getting sardines IN OIL and thought if it is good for mere dogs it must be even better for cats!
