Hi, I have a nu-venture surf and am thinking about getting a movelite awning.I am wondering how easy they are for 1 person to put up.Would appreciate any advice.

Hi Pat and welcome!
I've managed to put my movelite up on my own, it's just the standard size one, not the XL version. A lot easier with two ppl though, but it is light and practice makes it easier!
the one thing I find hard is after it's up... driving away is easy - reversing back up to it after a day out I find really difficult - mind you, I'm not good at reversing anyway!
I only use mine when I have a friend with me or I'm stopping longer than two nights - I have a Gelert 3 second tent for clobber and clutter for when I'm on my own which is much easier! ;D

Hello Pat. We have the movelte awning and its a piece of cake to put up, compared to our travel tunnel. When we are going off site we put a couple of solar lights either side of the stable door so when we get back we know we just have to reverse into the gap between the lights. Really handy if its dark (providing we had some sun during the day). If the solar lights are placed exactly at the corner of the camper unit it makes it so easy to get back in the same position. We sometimes have a line of solar lights so it looks like a mini runway.

I've put the movelite awning up on my own, its fairly easy but definately much easier with 2!! As Pendel says, its a good idea to put something to reverse upto if you are driving away. We just put the wooden blocks we use under the legs up against the tyre before we drive off, then all we have to do is reverse back up to them.

I've never tried the the movelite, but we got a khyam motordome to use with our romahome and it is pure simplicity to erect (due to the fact that the poles are already fitted). We liked it so much we got a smaller utility khyam for short stops.
