Hi Gwil, I am so pleased with Mavis, she is a vintage 96, soo comfy, no more leaks or hard beds, my own fridge, tap, porta potti, oh the list goes on. You won't be dissapointed when you get one, they are worth saving for and looking around for. I searched for about 8 months for Mavis. Hope you get one soon, they sometimes pop up on ebay, but you gotta be carefull cos a lot of them have newer vans with older bodies attached which is dangerous Ant says. Ant is our regular helper on this site and his advice is invaluable, and everybody is really helpfull here (if sometimes a bit crazy). take care, happy searching ;D

Hi Rach, glad u enjoyed u'r trip to the gower... which part did u stay at? I was thinking about heading to port enyon this weekend ..... Gotta admit, I do get strange looks from my friends still... not really a 'cool' vehicle, but I wouldn't swap mine for anything..ok maybe a newer one.. Mines an old F reg.....
Anyhow, u never know may see u on the roads at some point... be it the goewr, west coast or over the beacons.... take care

Hi rachel
so glad you are enjoying your little camper can called mavis. I agree with you that they are lovely to drive, I would not change mine either except for another.
We realised that we were getting older when we found ourselves sitting on our camp chairs at the back of our little van right on the beach and made ourselves a cup of tea. Oh and the times we used to laugh gently at the oldies with their little day campers sitting just like us for hours on end until the parking ticket ran out, with a cup of tea. Mind you we have not yet sat at the side of a busy road in a layby or on a grass verge.
Have a good time at Glastonbury.

Hi Jamie, we stayed at Oxwich, lovely little campsite, no hook ups tho which was ok coz we wanted to get used to everything ready for glasters next week, we travelled about a bit, went to rossilli, langennith, port enyon. Such a beautiful part of Wales (lets not tell too many people tho eh). Have a good weekend, Hi viv, does'nt age creep up on you, we must be getting on a bit when comfort comes before image, i think the roma is the "new black" a little bit of "geek chic", whatever, I love them and will be sitting on many beaches with a cuppa on the go! I will write with tales from Glastonbury upon my return
