Hi Dan
Did you buy it from J C Leisure at Winchelsea? If so, I looked at it myself last month!
Enjoy your camping...

Hi Karen. Nope - not JC Leisure. Got it on ebay from a guy in West Moors near Bournemouth. Picked it up today in fact! What kind of vehicle do you have?

Thanks. It was a bit daunting driving it for the first time today! All sorts of funny noises etc - makes me worry it could fall to bits on me!

My dad spent several months camping with a folding Esterel camper after my mum died and it was great for him. Enjoy. Dan

Hi All, OK seems we have a Newbie meet going happen ;D ;D ;D Obviously it will need to be by a pub ( for those of us who drink and have a romahome problem ) and I will try to make the camp as central to everyone that wants to attend as possible. I note that we have newbies in Dorset, Yorkshire so I was thinking about Wales ( Well I am a Kiwi and they do have SHEEP ) Anyone who thinks they may like to attend, could you let me know roughly in the country where you are so I can organize a central site, also this will give me some idea of numbers. I know I have called this a NEWBIE meet, but any of the OLD HANDS who would like to join in, please let me know, the more the merrier Cheers Dave

Hi Dave. Sounds great. I am in West Dorset but can go anywhere as soon as I find a mirror extension which will help with my rear view! If it is far though it may take a while to get there as my Daihatsu doesn't like to go fast! Cheers. Dan

Hi Dave
Thanks for offering to organise a meet, there's a couple of really "Old Hands" here who might like to join you depending on where and when it is, we live in Nottinghamshire.
You might like to start a new thread in the "Fancy Meeting Up" section then I can sticky it up at the top so that it doesn't get lost amongst other threads.
Graham

Hi Graham, I have made a new post in the meeting section.
If you could please link this thread to the new one, that would be fantastic. It would be awesome to catch up if you are able to attend.
You have made a fantastic forum here and a brilliant web site, I really take my hat off to you, as I know how much work you have to put into a good quality web page so thanks very much for all the effort you guys do for us.
Cheers mate, Dave

Hi Dan, I know what you mean about not going fast, I bought Bilbo up from Devon to Hatfield and he likes sitting around the 60 - 70 MPH not fast but very good on gas I think these little things are awesome, I wish I had found one earlier, I am making a couple of changes to Bilbo over the winter, like I am putting a shower in an outside locker ( so I can wash my dive gear off after a dive ) and just giving him a general face-lift. I think that these are definitely not motorway material but who wants to spend all day on the M25 stuck in traffic I would much rather take the "A" road and see the country. Mate I am really pleased that you may be able to attend the Newbie meet this summer, it will be awesome to catch up with other romies. Cheers Dave

Hi Dave!
Glad you are setting up a newbie meet in the summer!
The drive to south wales is hard in a big car ! I used to to do it every other weekend when my daughter was working for Mark Johnson racing at Middleham. When I lived in South Wales 4 years ago! Some roma homes with struggle to a have a comfortable drive that distance for a wkend ! But I am up for a meet! regards and xmas wishes
