Hello everyone. Just joined and see I know some of you already. I have a small caravan at the moment but have owned motorhomes in the past and am browsing around weghing up my options for when I retire in 5 years time. Forward planning - but what else is there to do on a boring grey Sunday between Christmas and New Year? ;D Christmas must be over 'cos I've just eaten the last mince pie. But I'm looking forward to going away in the van on Tuesday for New Year.

Hi Caz, Welcome aboard, I only found this forum a while ago, but everyone has been really helpful and friendly. If you are not busy in May, we are looking to hold a Newbie meet ( also attended by some of the old hands If you can make it, it would be great to catch up and say hello. Check out the Fancy Meeting Up section of the forum. Hope you have a great New Years Dave

Funnily enough, I'm already booked with a meet that weekend on another forum - at the very same site. Is the rally field quite large?

Hi Caz When I was talking to the site manager, I was informed that there was a cancellation for that weekend, so I took the chance to grab the rally field. The other forum may be meeting there but just in the main site area and not the rally field? it may pay to check though Either way, it will be great to see you up there, even if you just pop over to all of us for a coffee and a bite of cake ( Penny's birthday that weekend so I am baking ;D) Cheers Dave

Hi Caz, I have been practising, last weekend I tried out, Mango muffins, Louise Cake, Ginger kisses, Traditional bread pudding and Chocolate and vanilla cream browines. They all turned out yummy but I don't think I will fit in the camper if I keep it up ;D So I would love for you to come over for cake as you will be saving my waistline Cheers Dave

Hi Caz, Great news as I have been busy practicing, I have just made a capachino Cake with a marange topping and a Apricot and raisin short cake. Well I have to make sure that they are going to turn out OK. only problem is I don't eat them, I tend to give all my baking away to the neighbors See ya soon Dave
